Lake Wisconsin, Sunday, Sept. 5th

Despite the heavy Labor Day weekend boat traffic, Brad Keith wanted to go out fishing on Lake Wisconsin.

Sticking it out to the end proved to be a good move on his part. The saugers and crappies bit pretty good near the end of the day when traffic started to subside.

Brad also caught and released this very nice 21-1/4" sauger shown above.

Nice fish Brad!

We tried trolling crank baits during the day several times in different locations on the lake. They did not go for us on cranks again today.

The crawler harnessess were the ticket again today.

Here is a mess a fish that went home for the dinner table with Brad.

  1. Jeff,
Believe it or not, most of our crappies come on the same night crawler rigs that we use for walleyes and saugers. (trolling)
    There a nice bonus!

  2. Great Report Joel,
    Nice crappies!

Just let me know when you are going to be frying some of those crappies up on the grill. If it taste anything like those walleyes you did I can be down there in seconds if I have too.
