With white bass, pike and crappies all active on upper pool 9, i don’t know why anybody would want to fish bass…but both lmb and smb are active on the rocks of wingdams and elsewhere on the main channel today.
About 9 bass of legal dimensions up to 18 inches our of perhaps 40 boated today. A few on purple/black 7 ” power worm, a few on DC-8 Timber Tiger cranks… most on orange/chartreuse tandem spinnerbaits pulsed over rocks near current breaks.
Only had one guy in the boat today, he wanted me to fish too. We had four pike, one was about 6 lbs, probably 25 small white bass on that new #4 white dot Mepps Black Fury and the rest of our 60+ fish were the targeted species.
Got off the water by noon. Best action from 7-10:30 am. so there ya go…if you didn’t fish today on the Miss you didn’t miss much on upper pool 9. If you find an IDA hat south of Twin Island, it’s mine…but methinks Ol Neptune the catfish is wearing it. Didn’t have the chinstrap in place when powering up in a stiff south wind.
looks like I just have to sell ya another one of the hats…I only have a couple of the luck hats left !! But I have several of the regular hats…They look exactly the same, just one’s lucky and the other isn’t…
