Began the weekend off fishing timber that had slight current on it with tubes, and got a good number of fish. The biggest one was a nice 3 1/2 lb. largemouth. Saturday was more difficult. Started the morning off hitting some main channel spots and only got 14 to 15 in. fish for our efforts. The big fish of the day was a dandy 4 lb. walleye that hit a crankbait.
Sunday proved to be a very good day. Started the morning off by hitting some rock that had current on it. The big fish of the day was a 3 3/4 lb. smallie that hit a crankbait. We caught fish on crankbaits and topwaters to begin the day. After the pleasure boaters came out in full force, we headed to the backwaters to fish pads. These fish hit tubes, swimming jigs, and spinnerbaits. Here is the picture of the big smallmouth that I caught today.
Here is a picture of my uncle and I with three of our keepers from today.
