Winnie is going good yet. Lots of fish from 13" to 26". The east shore around three miles to Muskie bay continues to produce Walleyes. The weedlines are just now start to pop up and when you find them there is fish all over them. Some of the mid lake humps on the north end of Winnie have fish on it. Most of the Walleyes are bigger fish from the 22" to 26" range. Jig and minnow is still producing the best. Shiner minnows are a hit and miss. Bens Bait in Grand Rapids has a excellent supply for now. Some of the resorts are having trouble getting shiners.
Bowstring lake is giving up a lot of nice Walleyes from the 17" to 19" class. On Bowstring there really isn’t one area of the lake that’s better. Play the wind, fish the windy shore lines and first breaks. Some of the north end humps are producing fish. The evening bite is wide open, that last hour and a half before sunset the fish go crazy. Jig and a shiner is still the best presentation. Bring a lot of extra jigs and minnows the small Northerns in the lake are also going crazy.
