Lake Winnie,MN fishing report

Lake Winnie is still on fire! The bigger Walleyes are just starting to put the feed bag on. Angelers are catch a lot of Walleyes in that 21″ to 25″ with plenty of eaters from that 13″ to 15″. The bite changes everyday unless the wind stays in the same direction, play the wind. Fish are being found in that 8′ to 15′ as the shiner minnows are just starting to move up. Fish slow with the cold water temps. A Northland Standup Fireball tipped with a shiner has produced the best for me. We are having many days were we are catching up to 70 Walleyes a day. The Northern Pike are starting to really feed and the nicer pike are being caught. The big Perch you have to move around to find them, but once you get on them you catch a lot of 9″ to 11″ fish. If you have any questions on Winnie or other lakes in the Grand Rapids area contact me and I should have a answer. Hope to see you on the Water!
