I hit the water Friday afternoon to start pre-fishing for Grant County 2-Man open on Sunday. On Friday I found the fish to be relating to wood that had little to no current on it. The fish were very active and hit spinnerbaits, swimming jigs, and tubes.
Saturday my brother and I idled around in the fog and found the fishing to be very good. We found that the bass were near rock with no current. The bass were really going after Rattletraps and crankbaits. Here is a picture of myself with a 3 lb. bass that nailed a Chartruese crankbait.
Here is my brother with a nice bass that hit a chrome w/ black rattletrap.
On Sunday with the arrival of the sun, the fish I had going were reluctant to bite. We managed to get 5 keepers for 9.6 lb. This day, 3 of the 5 came on tubes along with numerous short fish. 20.11 lb won the tournament that had around 30 boats. See ya on the water.
