Went to Swan Lake at noon yesterday for some walleye fishing. Swan lake is located between Pardeville and portage wi. Its a deep lake with lots of weed edges on the drop offs. Water is pretty clear and you can see fish at the weed edges.
I went to my of best spots to do some pitching of 1/16th once jigs and the hot color was green for the day. For live bait night crawlers and leeches for the day and one was just as good as the other. Set the boat up in 10 to 15 feet of water and tossed the jigs into the weed line. The walleyes were hitting it sometimes before it got to the bottom. Also ran a spit shot rig as well with red hooks and with live bait.
Only spent 4 hours out fishing with the afternoon temps at 94 degrees. Had 3 legal walleyes and some shorts, white and yellow bass, cats, and some large mouths as well.
Fishing on Swan is like floating on an aquarium. Not bad for a dog day of summer on a clear water lake. Nice!

Thanks guys been fishing Swan all my life and its always good to back over there. I got a new Hds 7 from the wife and will be going back there again to mark some of the cribs on it. Any body want to team up one day let me know.
