Mississippi River Handlining Pool 9………..4/24/04

Today my wife Debbie and I went out for a short afternoon of walleye fishing. And since the cranks worked so well for me last Wednesday I thought i’d go right back at it…And with in the first 5 minutes down….FISH ON<img src="http://www.in-depthangling.com/forums/lake/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif" alt="" />

We were in the middle of the Stoddard Walleye Tournament and we were pulling 16inch – 18inch males even with all the traffic and line tangles<img src="http://www.in-depthangling.com/forums/lake/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Debbie has the handlining down pretty good…as a matter of fact she is down right good at it…

Same thing as Wednesday just slow, slow, slow….It takes me 30 minutes to go 100 yards, moving in and out and when the tug tug on the arm comes just turn around and pull’m in !!

We ended up with around 15 fish for the 4 or 5 hours we were out..a couple of short saugers and several nice males including the one up above that went 21 inches…

see ya on the water <img src="http://www.in-depthangling.com/forums/lake/images/graemlins/peace.gif" alt="" />
