As a Walleye and Bass fisherman most of what you will see me posting reports on are those species. Living and guiding in Door County I am blessed with having a fishery that has many opportunities with many different species through out the entire fishing season. Aside of the fantastic walleye and Smallmouth Bass fishing we have an incredible Salmon fishery.
Guiding mostly for Walleye and Smallmouth Bass I also fish for Salmon during the season. What I can offer to small groups or individual fisherman is the entire boat and all the rods to yourself as opposed to waiting your turn for a fish. Taking a couple salmon trips the past couple of days we found action to be very good.
We have had relentless winds for the past 10 days or so which always makes things more interesting or difficult but still we have been able to get out somewhere. With very strong south winds the other evening we fished an area that would give us some protection but found the active fish to be right in the hurricane force winds and waves.
Fishing this afternoon from 11am to 3pm we found the fish in 80 to 90 fow and could not keep them off the lines. I found fish relating to 40 to 50 feet of water. With very cold water temps I started out in shallower water with no results moving out to deeper water adjusting depths till I hit our first fish then dialing in on what depth they were at and what they wanted to eat. All of our fish came on flasher and fly combos but also caught some nice fish on white and green spoons. Lots of time to take advantage of the fantastic salmon fishing here in the Door County area Which has started out fantastic with incredible action.

Nice report Paul, you have awesome opportunities to chase big bronzies and then eyes flip over to the other side big steelhead browns, as well as kings. Glad to see you making the most of it. Anybody catching any fish on j-plugs at the moment. Continued Success – Quintin
Very nice report Paul and those are some dandy fish.
