With the continuing warming weather the fishing is really heating up for a number of different species. With the spring night bite coming to an end We did a trip the other night trolling shoreline breaks with Rapala Husky Jerks behind Planer boards. With most fish being on the smaller side we did catch a couple of nicer fish.
The day time walleye fishing has really been going strong the past couple of weeks in the lower bay of Green Bay. We have been having incredible success trolling Rapala Shad Raps and jointed Shad Raps in the colors of Hot Steel and Fire Tiger. I also have been spending some time in some locations casting and jigging for some nicer fish.
Saturday we had a Guide trip with 7 people for walleyes We set out at 6am with 3 boats and headed to the west shoreline where we had been getting pretty decent success. Shortly after getting set up and fishing we were all catching smaller fish than we had previously been getting so we made a move over to the East shore where we quickly started pounding fish.
The fishing was so fast that there was no way I could fish with 6 lines in the water so I went to fishing 4 rods and I don’t think that we ever were fishing with all 4 rods at once there was always fish on at least one rod with numerous doubles and tripples. Things are really shaping up for a good summer season ahead of us. If you have never fished Green Bay you should come and check out this awesome fishery.

I don’t feel sorry for you. Great report and I’m glad to hear that you are getting on some great walleye action. I need to get out there one of these years.
Brad lets go…..Destination trips are where its at
Paul !!!
that is an amazing fishery you have there… I promise I will be looking you up for a trip this fall… if we can’t hook up we will have to meet up for a cold one
I’m heading to the Door this weekend…can’t wait. It’s big water, and this is my 1st time fishing it..hopefully I can narrow it down a bit. Obviously, there’s a lot of fish in there. Looking forward to fishing with Paul on Sunday!!

Paul’s “good people” and one heck of a good fisherman and guide. You’re in for one heck of a good trip. Be sure to take some pics and let us know how your trip went when you get back.
