Pool 5 has been very good to a young bass fishermen like me..I started Tuesday afternoon not being able to find anyone to fish with..But that wasn’t gonna stop me..I started by fishin some wingdams with a couple dinks to show for my efforts..I then procced to fish rip rap shorelines, flats, points, banks an wood with no pattern holding more fish over the other..It’s all new ball game out there with water levels at July-August stages..Watch the wingdams they arent ask deep as they usually are this time of year…I saw some boats drive across some you wont catch me doin at this water level. This first pictures is of Tony Baum (justarookie) with a beautiful looking smallie that feel victimn to a firetiger pattern stickbait..
Cranks, tubes, spinnerbaits and jigs all took fish..The first picture is of me with the two of my best this spring so far.. Two fish I hope I can get to bite on tournament day. Also bet you won’t think I caught those two fish in three casts well I did..I can only imagine how many more are down there waiting for me on Saturday..lol.. But Overall the bite has been tough for me with the low water this spring.. I say bring on the Rain

Flick,
Nice report. Looks like you have a new ride. What did you get? Everyone I’ve talked to says they are seeing more big fish this spring they have seen in years. I know I’m enjoying myself. I hope all the readers are planning a trip here this summer. It looks like it will be an exceptional year. And yes, I do recognize the background, it’s one of my favorite spots.
John, I got a 2002 520 Ranger Comanche…
Is that the boat your Dad was telling me about that you were looking at about 6 months ago? He said it was a sweet boat. 520, thats a bass boat correct? You will have to post a pic of it for us to see. Thanks, Bill
