Mother Nature has sure thrown us a curve ball this year. On Green Bay it has sure been difficult to get to the off shore deep structure. We have resorted to fish near shore structure. The fish has been pretty good for whitefish but the conditions on Green Bay has changed dramatically.
South winds plus warm weather on Green Bay do NOT mix. Last Sunday a large crack had opened leaving 20 shacks on the wrong side. Some shacks were retrieved. I moved my equipment and gear across the crack on Saturday night when it was tight.
The walleye action will be pick up very soon. The big problem will be if we can get to those spots safely. The warm will be a blessing and problem. Should turn the bite on and will deteriorate the ice. I will keep you all in the loop.
