In this addition of the Wigwam Fishing Report Video, the Wigwam Fisherman, Wiggles, Jeff Carlson and a few members from the CPS (Crop Production Services) Group from Big Lake, MN, give you the first hand fishing report from Lake of the Woods on a blistery cold February 23, 2012 day.
The fishing has been on fire just before this cold front and storm system has worked its way through Lake of the Woods County, and for that part, most of Minnesota over the past few days. With this front it has definitely made fishing a bit tougher than the fishing we experienced earlier in the week.
We’re still fishing deep, 36 feet in the mud and about 20 miles from the Wigwam Resort. The Walleyes and Saugers have been marked regularly all throughout the day, but sometimes those buggers just won’t bite…other times they won’t leave your lure alone…patience is key! Glow Pink and glow White have been the ticket for this northern Minnesotan, and for that matter many of the anglers coming to our tremendous fishery this winter!
