In this addition of the Wigwam Fishing Report, the Wigwam Fisherman get the opportunity for a 4 hour mid morning and early afternoon fishing trip out to one of the Wigwam’s freshly drilled houses and tests the mid day bite. There is most definitely a lull in the action during these hours on Lake of the Woods, but we still managed to pick up a few Saugers for dinner. The bite has been fantastic for the past few weeks and we only anticipate that to continue into the new year. Pink and Gold are always great lures, but I have heard great success is being obtained by the plain red hook with a live chubb. For me when jigging on this day the frozen Shiners were the ticket!
