Final Devils Lake Perch Report for year

Perch fishing has been very good the last several weeks. Lake access is only by ATV or snowmobile. The ice is holding out since the temps are not quite 40 during the day going back under 25 at night. It is softening. My guess is that we have ice-out by April 15 and safe ice for only two more weeks.

Now that is nicer, angler activity for pike and walleye are up along the roads and the usual places. But that is expected. Crowds develop in a very short time. The hardy icefisherman are being overtaken by the fair weather fisherman. Action is mixed and varies depending on the given day. It can be awesome to very poor.
