Fishing is slow. Fished on the 1 ST of April. We got 15 bites all on a white and pink 3/8 jig with minnow. Plastic’s did nothing but junk river fish. Biggest fish was 27 1/2. Got a few 26, 25 and 24 inch eyes. Out of all the fish there was only one lake eye caught. We put in at vidas and ran up river about 3 miles.

Most fish were found on the back side of deep humps. 18 fow seemed to be the ticket. The sturgeon were getting hooked up everywhere you looked. Key is to stay vertical as much ad possible and don’t over work the jig. Lift hold drop pause repeat, was the ticket.

water temp was mid to high 39 degree range. I spoke to a few different boats and most said they struggled or got smaller eyes.

Going to try again next week and see what happens. Attached two of the pictures I had on my phone. The pale walleye was the only lake fish we got. Rest river fish.

Just got back from pool 4 today. It’s a tuff bite up there. I got a few nothing of size 18 incher was the biggest.

Most I saw brought in on one day was 6 and nothing over 23 inches. Most I got was 3 and a few small ones that I put back in the drink.

I had to work my tail off the last day to get three overs. First two days was real tuff.

Marked fish in many different spots and put everything but TNT down to them and they were in a negative state.

I would say wait and spend your money another day up there.

John I will be in a red black and gray nitro ZV21 the same days u will be. If you see my boat come over and say hi and I will do the same. Always looking to expand the fishing network. Lol!
