Does anyone know where I could find the shovel mount on the Digger auger carrier thats in the first picture in this thread. I have two diggers and am trying to find a way to mod them for my Eskimo Pistol Bit/Drill combo and would like to keep my normal Digger setup intact for my Strikemaster auger. Thanks!

Those look like Quick Fist Clamps.

    Thanks!

    thanks!

I know I’m a little late but I just bought the lithium shuttle for the helix 7 and was there anything special you had to do to mount it? The mounting part on the back of the helix 7 doesn’t reach the brackets on the shuttle.

I drilled new holes in base of the shuttle. Be careful because they come close to the edge. I never thought about drilling out the gimbal bracket on the helix but I assume that would work too.

I bought the 8″ pistol bit this year to replace the ion bit I had the last 2 years. It cuts a lot smother and faster than the ion and seems to start better. The walk isn’t too bad as long as you start slow. It doesn’t grab at the bottom of the hole like the hand augers without the ring. The only thing I don’t like about it is I had to modify my digger auger rack because the shaft size is too big to fit in the plastic holders. All in all I am very happy with it.

Jason- can you post a picture of how you modified your digger to work with the pistol bit. Thanks!

Thanks for the info on the Alberto (modified Albright) knot. I will give that a try. I’ve always used the Uni to Uni and this looks a like it has a lower profile and higher break strength.

I had a custom aluminum rack made for the two man house and with the digger auger bracket everything rides safe and sound.
