I like the stay out all night approach not sure if the other guys will though. The other question, is this lake a prop buster? Northeast Iowa doesn’t really have lakes all we have is the River, with channel markers. Trying to get some info from the guy that weekends there, but not getting much.

I thought $250 was a lot of money, I guess if it cost $500 to get one that performs right the hell with that. I will stick with the Aluminum. I like going fast but the motor is only a 75hp so I wasn’t expecting a huge difference but I thought it would be at least the same.
July 7, 2013 at 8:20 pm #1182017The worst part is the performance isn’t any better, I am 2 miles an hour slower. I spent $250 on this stupid thing and I couldn’t return it which I understand, but I want to try and salvage something but I can’t stand that sound.
July 7, 2013 at 8:09 pm #1182014Mine sounds like it is coming through the motor, but only with the stainless.
June 16, 2013 at 2:55 am #1178080I had a map just couldn’t figure it out I guess. I have a Navionics chip and I thought I was following the channel. I will look at it again and try to figure out where I went wrong. As far as the fishing we fished North of the Landing kind of where everyone else was fishing. Caught 2 walleyes Monday after the all day rain Sunday. We went again on Thursday after trying some other local lakes Tuesday and Wednesday and we caught 7 walleyes and 2 Northerns. The biggest walleye was 25 inches. The others were over all over 17 inches. I am not sure if that is good or not I spent a lot of time driving around looking for spots to fish and didn’t see a whole lot that I liked. I wasn’t sure what to expect it was the first time I have ever fished it. The entire river looked like a side channel of the Mississippi.
May 31, 2013 at 1:50 am #1174508Now that you mention it, when I was trying to update the software I had to big of a card and it wouldn’t work. Is there a place to get a hold of an older card?
May 30, 2013 at 1:17 am #1174263I have a map chip I bought in 2012 works great in the HDS7, but I can’t get it to work in the LMS 522C. I tried changing the navionics data, but the only option is Lowrance. Am I looking in the right place? How do I get it to work or is the chip too new?
Thanks,
Zach
April 2, 2013 at 1:24 am #1158265I believe it only works for the sonar, you can not shard the GPS between the two units. Correct me if I am wrong because that happens often.
March 30, 2013 at 3:09 am #1157519I did just that and guess what happened…IT WORKED!!! Thanks for all the help and advice I am sure I will be back here with more questions soon. Thanks again!!
March 29, 2013 at 3:14 am #1157216I turned it on yesterday while out on the water the HDS said 10 ft the LMS didn’t have a reading. Something isn’t right with one of the units. I found what you referrenced on page 80 and it is what I did. I guess I will have to get Universal sonar on my PDV2.
March 29, 2013 at 12:26 am #1157182Are you talking about checking on the Network Sonar Box? I don’t know where it says share sonar. Checking the network sonar box didn’t work so I am thinking either the ethernet jack on one of the units is bad or the ethernet cable is bad.
March 28, 2013 at 12:48 am #1156828I can’t get it to work either way, I must be doing something wrong.
March 28, 2013 at 12:46 am #1156827Did you have too change any settings to get it to work or just plug them in? I have a HDS7 and LMS 522C and I can’t get it to share the Sonar.
March 17, 2013 at 10:08 pm #1153127Also if the two units are connected via ethernet cable will they each show the same thing(if i have the sonar page on one will it have the sonar page on the other), or can I have the sonar page on one and the chart on the other?
March 17, 2013 at 9:56 pm #1153124I don’t have the transducer for 522C will the HDS transducer work or do I need to get one for the 522C?
March 13, 2013 at 12:39 am #1151403Thanks for the information. It’s kind of stupid you lose your foot pedal but I suppose they would rather have people buy a brand new trolling motor than upgrade your existing one.
March 12, 2013 at 12:58 am #1151036I just watched a video on you-tube, do you just have to disconect the foot pedal and connect the i-pilot to switch or do you have to go through the whole install to switch?
November 2, 2012 at 12:31 am #1109110It is great feed back and I appreciate all the help. Sounds like most people are happy with there outboards which was the reason I bought a Yamaha.
November 1, 2012 at 12:45 am #1108791It got 2 more years of warranty and there the only yamaha dealer in the area. This is there last chance, if they can’t figure it out I am going to have to make a drive somewhere else. What is Ring Free?
October 30, 2012 at 11:38 pm #1108478The boat originally came with a 50 HP two stroke when I bought it in 2008 and it already had the fuel water separator.
October 30, 2012 at 11:36 pm #11084772012 F75 4 stroke, it is only 1 year old have had it in the shop 3 times.
October 30, 2012 at 2:40 am #1108294I always run without ethanol I was using stabil every tank but was having a vapor lock problem in the summer. They told me stabil might have been part of it and they changed the impeller because they thought it was running hot and causing the vapor lock. That problem seems to be gone but wonder if this problem is related to the other problem. It is also not hot out when I am fishing anymore.
October 13, 2012 at 2:50 am #1104970Its a 75 and it sounds like a power steering issue on a cold morning when your car is outside. It went away when I would start it again after fishing. The last run of the day it didn’t do it either.
June 22, 2012 at 3:34 am #1077972I am definately going to have fun, sure will be better than work. I think my Dad might have mentioned Island Lake for some reason it sounds familiar maybe we will try that. You can’t beat the scenery of Northern Minnesota.
