You might want to wait until the road restrictions are off. I dont think they will be able to haul a full load if you need alot. And if you have to have them come across your soft yard or driveway.

No gas powered augers in the B-dub. I was up there on Snobank Jan 15th for trout opener and there was lots of trucks way past the line for BWCAW. I was hoping the warden would have showed up to ask him about the boundary line. Fishing was slow

“That had to be a sight, when he bolted right by you guys”

After I hit the deck I got up and Tim was 20yds away from me. I asked him where the he** you go? He said he started running after I hit the deck.lol I told him the deer prob thought we were a car headlight and came after our bumper

Ill never forgot that sight of that deer after he stopped after running by us. Seeing his breath puffing out his mouth in the cold air. He was a smaller 10 pt

Just got back from SD, You’ll “see” 100’s of birds. The sloughs and shelter belts are full of snow, very tough walking. There very spooky. Like Kooty said, very windy from weds to sat. I didnt hunt, I was the designated driver

I’ll be heading that way too to visit the outlaws. Leaving weds am. I’ll be in Clark, SD. Stopping at Hyvee in Watertown for king crab after member on here mentioned sale. Not sure what I will be chasing deer, pheasants or coyotes. Probably all of them. Good luck, be safe and have fun. Merry Xmas to all

NAPA auto parts in Burnsville carries Amsoil. Im not sure all napas carry it. The 2 cycle for the boat was $10 a gal cheaper at napa compared to FF with a company discount. I bought my last qt for lower unit at FF

I was up to Tofte a couple weeks ago. There using cowbells and crawlers on Tofte NE of Ely. Your walleye trolling rods will work fine. Rainbows and splake are in there. We only caught rainbows. Snowbank has lake trout. You can only fish the south half of the lake. The rest you need to have a permit and a 25hp motor or less. Its in the BWCAW. There is still alot of lake to fish. You can also check out Miners lake in Ely for streamers. I have never fished Miners. Pm for more info

At the corner of Flagstaff and 195th in Farmtown a guy works on boats. Not sure if he does body work or what he does with them.

However I just thought it was interesting how that worked out. Maybe once you harvest a tom (whether or not you drew it or purchased an excess tag over the counter) you go back to the end of the line?

My buddy has the opposite theory for the bear lottery. You get a bear the previous year, your likely to get drawn again the next year.

Check out the Cowboy sport shop in Watertown. There is a board with all the area lake reports. Good luck
