Mega 360 will not mount on the Terrova. You will need to use the universal mount and put it over the side and use that way. You tube it, I am doing the exact same thing on my boat when I get the transducer. Good luck.

Hey guys just an update. I pulled the trigger on a new 1890BT, 90hp SHO w/Pro Tiller steering, Aqua Traction flooring, vantage/Ulterra w/MSI, Mega 360, Helix 10 MSI/GPS/Chirp, Lowrance HDS12 live (I have) with side imaging and thru hull transducer, 3-Group 31 batteries, battery charge, on board charger, Trim Tabs, tracks instead of hand rails, Wave Wackers, Tandem axel trailer. I have my fingers crossed. They told me mid March it would be in. I appreciate all the feed back on the questions I had. Looking forward to a new boat!

I just found what I was looking for! To do what I want to do, I will need to have part #720108-1 HB 14 M360 2DDI Y and a part #720106-1 AD HELIX M360. This will allow me to use both my transducer off of the Ulterra and hook up a separate M360 Transducer. I will report next spring how it is all working once I get the boat and everything hooked up. Stay tuned I will probably have more things to bounce off of you.

    Brian,
Using an Ultrex is not in my plan. I am building a tiller boat, I want to be able to use everything from the back of the boat. Maybe I will either have to put a 3rd unit at the back, 1 up front and the network the whole thing together. We shall see, but man new boats are a blast figuring out all of the little things.

Right now I mostly troll, and I am very good at it. But, I really miss catching them with a rod in my hand, and I am changing up my game. Yes, I want to be able to find them with the side imaging, then use the 360 to help me dissect the pc of structure. I am also putting an HDS 12 Live on the back as well(I already have this unit). That unit will also have down & side imaging as well. I have mostly been a Walleye guy, and I am changing that as well. I used to be a multi-species guy. I am going back to fishing for Musky, Bass, Walleye, and some panfish as well. Sorry if I got long winded.
    Thanks

Well darn it, I was afraid of that. Ok, back to the drawing board.

    Tom,
Thanks a lot. So would I then plug the MEGA 360 transducer into the ethernet box also?
    Thanks

I realize that I won’t be able to use the 2 at the same time. I just want to be able to use the MSI transducer while looking for fish then spot lock and use the Mega 360 to pinpoint and track a school of fish while spot locked. Looking for something similar to the Dual Side Image Transducer Adapter cable, and maybe that is what I need? I was hoping one you Hummingbird Guru’s would know right off the bat and save me some time researching this.
    Thanks
    Phil

I would love to, but there is not a mount available for the Ulterra. I want to be able to have SI both front and back. As well as using the HB 360 when needed. I have been a Lowrance guy forever, and i happen to have an HDS12 Live that I am going to put on the back with 2n1 Active Imagining, and a 2d/Chirp Transducer glassed in the hull.
I believe there is a splitter available for the units, just not sure, I am still doing research on my own.
    thanks

    Pat,
Nice boat, that sounds about right up my ally. I am thinking about downsizing to fit a smaller garage. We are getting ready to move and I won’t have my pole barn anymore. I agree with you on the tandem axel trailer! Anyway thanks for sharing your insights. Dean if I wasn’t so far away, I would take you up on your offer for a ride.

Thanks Pat. I have been wanting to get back into a tiller boat again for a while now. That boat will fit a regular garage a lot better than my present rig. I am also thinking about the 2090 as well. I guess we will see. Take care

Wow, I always just tie my own. Snell knot pretty easy to tie. Get some good fluorocarbon leader material, beads, hooks, and clevis, and your favorite blade.
Bada Bing Bada Boom. Takes less time to tie than ordering them online. I get the swim noodles to use as holders. But, to each his own.

You should really check that with Lowrance. I have an HDS Live 12 on my dash and a HDS gen2 9m on the dash beside it for GPS, and a Gen 2 HDS 9 sonar on the front on my US2 transducer on my Ulterra, and they all communicate just fine. I would think a Gen 3 would work as well if not better.

Wow! That thing looks awesome. Looks like the bar has been raised again in the big water boat market.

    Dean,
you got me looking at the Drotto Boat Latch system. Pretty cool. They list all aluminum boats on their website. Will that thing stand up to a big heavy fiberglass hull? That thing definitely looks old guy friendly. All about that, I think it would make fishing alone way easier.

I am planning on tearing into it this weekend. Right after I watch the Bucks take it to Nebraska! Finally Big 10 football!

    Is that on a WX2200 or WX2190?

    Greg,
Can you put a picture on here with the Trax Tech. I really like the looks of this boat, but have wondered how it was to troll out of? I have wondered about mounting tracks on the boat, but didn’t think that they would mount on the gunnels. I hadn’t considered using the brackets.

I have used the Smooth Moves and they seem to work great for people under 200hp. And that ain’t me anymore. I moved to Air Waves and couldn’t be happier. Simple to set, rated to 399lbs. Hope I never have to test that. I have a buddy that pushes 325lbs and he loves my seats. Put one in for her and they will help. Let’s us know what you decide. Good luck, I hope it helps.

    Ed,
Yea, I started doing that trick after I noticed the boat sliding back a little when loading. The steeper ramps are where I am having the most problems. I love to fish lake St. Clair and the St. Clair river, and Michigan has some real shallow ramps, and they do not allow power loading. What brand of winch did you buy? I would like to consider that.

Well, I have taken some of your advice and have shallowed the trailer up some. That helps, I launch from the same ramp most of the time. Took her to another ramp, much shallower and that made a big difference as well. My ramp is a pretty steep ramp, and that has been giving me fits for some reason. But I am on my way to figuring it out. Thanks for all the help.

I put Sea Dek in one of Contenders, wow is it nice. They already had a pattern for it. They have a softer version you might want to consider in the cockpit area. That would make it more comfy on your feet and knees if standing all day. Good luck.

I put the boat in so that the fenders are just under water, to slightly exposed. I have been experimenting with different depths on the trailer. I don’t know if the ramp would be consider steep or not. I would not classify it as shallow ramp. It is the ODNR ramp in Huron, Ohio. I do most of ramping there. I know I need to try some different ramps, and see if it helps or hurts. I appreciate you guys helping me work thru this.

I will do that. The front cross brace has pc of rubber that is basically screwed on the top of the cross brace. It should have a roller there, that is the problem. I looked at a WX2200 and there has been a roller installed there now. Hull is also different now.

How does it ride in the rough stuff? Shorting and widening the boat? Looks like it picked up about 300lbs as well. I see you put the SHO 200hp, nice, loved my 250hp SHO.
