I have a detwiler hydraulic jack plate on my 202 triton tiller it has a dial so you can fine tune the sweet spot while running. Its sweet.

I have never had that happen with a sealine. Don’t fill the spool to the max that might help. I also own tekota’s and will say for the difference in price not worth it. When is it happening?

They are all over, not alot of public land around where my parents live in may township. My father pulls plants on all the neighbors land because he is about the only one who care about it. It can be toxic and fatal to people yet you never hear about it. Just A.I.S and zeebs!

Not to change the subject but if the media and or dnr want to try to make a difference. Invest all the money they are wasting A.I.S and zebra mussels. And figure out how to stop grecian foxglove. It has killed all the horses around my parents house. When I grew up in the early 90’s there were horse farms all around us, then horses started to die and now I don’t think there is a horse within a mile of there house. My dad has called the dnr and picks hundreds of plants each summer and they do nothing about it! This plant is toxic to animals if ingested and apparently horses like how it tastes. Yet they feel A.I.S and zeebs are more important.

Just be glad your not the poor guy who launched his truck and trailer 60 feet off shore this morning at the dnr launch. His truck was so far in that my buddy launched his 620 over the cab. Not a good start to the fishing season, man I feel bad for the guy.

I called about that the first year they put the zeeb stop at the high bridge because I grew up a half mile north of the bridge on the river. The answer they gave me was they move the boat when water temp us under 50 degrees because zeebs are dormant under that temp. The real kicker is all the money they spent on that stupid zeeb stop boat and people to man it, when after all the testing they discovered zeebs can’t survive in the warm sandy water north of stillwater anyway!

My first real boat was a 1775 pro v tiller. In my opnion the best boat for 1 to 2 people ever made. I sold it and steped up to a 620 wheel boat with a 15hp tiller kicker. I ran the 620 for 6 years and never fell in love with it. Dont get me wrong ranger makes a great boat but the control you give up for coutour trolling drove me nuts. I now run a triton 202 tiller and would never go back to a wheel boat for walleye fishing again.

I ran a 02 225 opti for six years, the only problem I had was the compressor went out. A friend of mine had a 01 and went through 3 powerheads. If it was me I would stay away from the early 2000.

Tiller handle for sure. You can always connect it to your big motor. For trolling contours you need the tiller handle.

I have had issues with every motor I have owned at some point, some cheap fixes others more spendy. That is the cost of owning a boat! If your that bent out of shape over a repair bill for a motor out of warranty you might as well sell all your gear and get a 10 speed with a lifetime warranty.

If you are only fishing p4 27s will work. If you fish the croix get 47s. I dont use any backing I fill the spool with 10 colors of lead. Rods dont have to be anything special just a soft tip and good backbone. Leads can be as short as 6ft. Keep it simple!

I have yet to shoot a benelli worth half of what the ask for them. The 870 hands down. Just go to a gun club a look at what people bring to the line, if its a pump 8 out of 10 are 870’s. If you want a good deal on a benelli check the board at a gun club it seems there is always one for sale.

I went from a 1775 prov tiller to a 620vs with a 15hp kicker. The first day I had it on the water I knew I should have kept the tiller. I now run a 20ft tiller and love it.For fishability for 1-3 people the 1775 is tuff to beat. I had a 75hp on it. You should be able to find something in your price range.

I see no difference then the idiots who shoot as many deer as they can, because they have unlimited bonus tags. Then a few years later they complain that they see no deer. Just because you are not breaking a law when does common sense set in? Usually when its too late!

This is the deal. The road will open as soon as we can drive on the ice. They do not want people parking on the private land on shore and walking out. Pray for some COLD!
