    Wow I just never gave the GPS a thought for the boat speed.You guys are right. I have a Solix 12 Humminbird Never had any kind of fish finder on my boat before and the one I have now is still new in box. I cant believe that the teck people at Humminbird didn’t say hey you don’t even need the speed sensor with this unit. I’ll just send it back or something thanks for the help jim

    My fish finder does have built in temp sensor on transducer, but as far as know does not have the speed sensor. The speed sensor also has temp sensor and is the paddle wheel type. I questioned hummingbird teck support about input from two temp sensors into fish finder unit and they told me one would override the other. I did not know that GPS can tell also how fast you are going I may have wasted about 50 dollars. IF that’s the case I wont even install it, Going to look into that .Thank You Jim

    Sorry I had missed you’re question but the black wire runs out of second battery compartment to primary battery compartment #1.. Thank you Dusty for you’re time also ..Think I have it solved JIM

    From what I can see a red wire comes from troll motor plug outlet into main battery compartment and connects directly to breaker on bottom side.Then at the of top of breaker the red wire (shorter one) would just i think connect to pos on battery

    yes red and black run directly to troll motor plug outlet the other two the solid black and the black with blue stripe go from primary battery compartment to second battery compartment

    ok in my main battery compartment one red wire to a breaker the other goes to ground plate its black in same compartment one solid black and one black wire with a blue stripe these two wires black and black with blue stripe run under floor to second battery box although the trolling motor has 3 prongs it only has a black and red wire connected to it one of the prongs is not used (no wire to it)

    yes in primary battery compartment there is a breaker two wires one red and one black run to the trolling motor plug outlet the plug has only 3 prongs ‘im going to run out and look at the other wires

    Thanks for all the response..The boat is a 2020 year 16 ft alaskan tiller with 20 hp.. As far as I know the boat weight is 860 lbs. thanks again..
