Vexlar customer service is typically really good to work with. Hopefully they can ship you a new one or if your in the Twin Cities area they are in west Bloomington.
I just bought and put together the Otter XT X-Over Cottage not the Pro version so all I can verify is that the dimensions on mine are at the 21 1/2″ per the information on their web site. I was looking for the Pro as well for the seat but as you found as well I could not find anyone that carried the Pro and to order was not cheap.
Good luck in working with Otter. I have heard they are typically very good to work with.
I bought my Frabil a couple years back when they came out with the side doors. Got it from Joe’s on the last day – had to buy the floor model which after putting two others together was acually a good thing!!! Agreed – 20% sounds about right…
Chris,
Interested. If I am correct this is the cable adaptor needed to go from a Universal Sonar (MKR-US2-11) cable to the back of my Helex 9?
If so – I would buy it. looking to link my Terrova up to the Helix 9.
Joe
I am fairly certian that Hunter’s Point rents out Day Houses. 320-676-3227
Thanks – I think I will have to look for a cover that fits my make. I appreciate the offer thou…
Thanks guys – it appears this post got me the information I was looking for but ALSO cost me more money. $$$$! In the long run I will be happier I’m sure
Thanks for the input, I’ve been being told to go with biggest screen you can afford also. Love my LX-7 for winter but also thought the Helix 7 might be small for running in the boat. Wil research the Helix 9 MEGA more…
Austin – there was a guy on the IDO site / treads awhile back that made aluminum arms for the different flashers including the Marcum. I f I recall you could look up Shane123, he was making them a year or so ago.
Good luck…
here is a link to the reels James and Will were using.

Can’t beat the TUCR Bullwhip. Bought it at last years ice show – love it.
As you may have seen before on the posts, if you are not sure the best thing to do is to call and talk with Adam or any of the guys and they will get you the best rod for how and what you are fishing.
I agree – I have a few TUCR and two of them have the Sedona 500’s and now my dead-stick has the Okuma Avenger reel on it. Yes – I am a huge IDO fan and had ton of luck practicing what James and the rest of the guys preach!
I agree with the QT option. In talking w/ Adam as well as Brad Hawthorne at the Ice Fishing Show, they steered me to it. I loved the action it had with my jigs that I use for walleye. Looking to now either get a dead-stick for on the ice well out in the portable or the Noodle for the panfish.
All I use is the smartphone app that Navionics has available. I typically only use it for winter fishing but it works great for the $10-15 cost.
Ben – I have not heard of that company but here is a link to a friend of mine that makes Tru Trax. Give Todd a call and see what he can do for you.
I agree – there should be a button on the side of the opener that will allow you to adjust the travel of the chain.
Just bought the TUCR 32″ QT at the show. Adam paired it up with the Shimano Sedona 500FD, Felt really good on the rod and smooth. I don’t think you can go wrong.
PS – I fish in a house a majority of the time thou.
You can do Lake of the Woods, Mille Lacs or even Red Lake. Check out the IDO shows on this site – they have been to all the lakes listed. Been to LOW many times, caught fish each time. I have a house at Hunters Point on Mille Lacs. They will treat you well. I agree, go to GM and buy a mid priced combo – LT/Med action spinning combo. Try weasels from JB Lures or the new VMC Tinglers. Use the rattle wheels at nite but if you want to catch fish you need to jig for them. Yes – Ely show was a good bite as well!
Tim – I have a house out of Nitti’s Hunter’s Point. I have always been treated well by the staff there and I know that they do their best to keep the rentals on the spots for the best chance to catch fish. Just like all the resorts – you still have to work for the fish by jigging and or moving around during the day. You can get to the flats from their roads as well. Great resort – great food!
I would have to agree that the insulated golf gloves would do the trick. I use them in the fall / early spring. Great feel and around $20-$25 – not bad.
Thanks guys for all the replies and your thoughts – done deal, recoil guides it is when I place the order!
I normally fish inside my permanent house on Mille Lacs and will venture out on the ice or in the Frabill during the day. I would say 75-85% of my fishing is in the house / Frabill thou. I just don’t want to kick myself down the road for not spending the extra $20…
