Starting March 7th Cabelas/Bass Pro have Garmin Echomap Ultra 126 for $1499.97 with the GT54 ducer. Pick this up and buy GT56 ducer separately for just under $400. You won’t regret this set-up. Add livescope later and enjoy the larger screen.

I’m running a 209 Alumacraft and love the size. Running a 150 PRO XS Merc and that’s more than enough power. I’m trying to figure out how you’re going to come close to that price point. Trailer is $6k and motor is $15k. Half your budget is already gone and now just getting to the boat itself. If you can do it and still make money at the end of the day then I’m sure you won’t have a shortage of sales. Good luck!

I’m big into styuffed hashbrowns. I use my pan method but I don’t fill the first pan quite so full. When they get flipped, I add chopped browned bacon, chopped browned sausage, chopped ham and scrambled eggs to 1/2 of the already brown potatoes. When the second side has browned to my liking at toss a pile of shredded cheeses on the eggs and fold the potatoes ala a taco and let the cheese melt a bit, then serve. Onion, gr.pepper, you name it can go into this and it simply dynamite.

This sounds amazing and I think I gained my weight back just reading!

I bet if you comb the John Gillespie archives you could find an episode or two on Spring fishing in GB. He’s basically always fishing with a guide or resort owner, but can get you pointed in the right direction on areas, depths, presentations.

I can hear the screaming now

Get the Johnsonville’s ! Nothing better than these Johnsonville brats! Can’t stand that guy.

Of course both sides have a story. The all worthy ground is Indian Point. Rocky Reef was there first. Randy started his operation over a decade ago and Indian Point is closer to his resort so he’s the first there now for a road and hence the battle that is upon them. The sad part is that innocent paying customers through both resorts have now got involved in a unsafe situation.

dad cannot shoot a deer during youth season. I’ll be taking 2 of my boys hopeful to get something. Struck out each year so far.

Dad CAN shoot does in any early antlerless zones even with youth in stand.

I’ll have my daughter with me and my son will be with grandpa. Son took his first deer last year during the designated weekend. We will also hopefully be putting a few does down that weekend too for the early antlerless. They both coincide the same days. Oct 20-23

I would plan on going before years end. Fishing into February can be tough. Definitely more of a guarantee by going earlier.

I do it all the time for the kids. I’m running an Alumacraft 205 with 150 Merc and there isn’t a single issue. I bought the boat for fishing in mind and love the wide open space a tiller provides. Now that the kids are older and do more water activities it’s been fine for that too. Not a single regret on a tiller boat!

Another newbie question, but is there a bite window for the dam area on pool 4? Is it based on water temp or flow?

    Yes, yes and yes.

Although a well placed lure will catch a fish anytime, the bite is always better the last hour of the day and into the darkness. (although with the water staining up, that will be soon gone).

I’ll let others talk about temps and flow… heck, I haven’t even caught a catfish in the last year. )

With the water staining up does that improve the day bite then so it’s not a sunset bite?

I support it because I don’t catch that many anyway. But my concern is that the guides are the ones who are really pushing this. They are on the water daily pulling limits for their clients . Are guides more of an issue at hand? There’s only so many fish in a system and they keep targeting them until they’re gone or harder to catch. Now it’s making their jobs more difficult.

Kids are being picked up in the dark with the current set-up. My oldest gets on the bus every morning at 6:30 and youngest is at 7:00. In the winter with DLS it’s still dark anyways. Just change it to a constant year round!

Lets hope we don’t have our Minnesota QB for another season. He may not be a Prima Donna, But he’s also not a clutch QB in Big games or tough situations.

Kirk gets hated on a lot for “stats” are padded in garbage time, cant win the big game yada yada yada. The fact remains however that he is an above average QB and he has been held back by Zimmer. How many times have you heard Zimmer say we need to run the ball more? Tons. Cousins’ main issue is the lack of a decent offensive line. If he gets the amount of protection most other QBs get his stats would be even better. He is far from the problem with this team.

The offensive line isn’t really the whole problem. They had given up the fifth fewest sacks of this past season. The non mobile safe qb is more of an issue!

Pretty sure Jesus Christ would love it as well. But I forget we are only a “Christian nation built on Christian values” when it suits the narrative of a certain group.

Only use the gas late season on LOTW or when we’ve been to Lake Winnipeg in March. My gas is way faster than the 40V with a lot of ice.

We leave it hooked up. Easier to make a move later obviously and once on the ice I have no intention of going back to shore until trip is done.

If everything wasn’t produced in China these supply issues wouldn’t be a issue! Same cheap products at a higher cost, no thanks.

LOTW there are trips we move from shallow to deep everyday. Low light and overnight is up shallow and 9am head to deeper water for day bite. The rest of the lakes mentioned usually only once per trip if spot 1 isn’t producing.

Why don’t they go with a V-front? Seems the extra space would be nice and when hauling it isn’t pulling into a flat wall.

Bait feeder if you wanna use it in an iFish Pro and yes you are correct let it load up after clicking bait feeder off before setting hook

I don’t limit it at all to a Ifish pro. Dead stick in the house every time is set up in this manner. Haven’t used any kind of float since. Rod loads up and the fish starts taking line with no resistance. Panfish, walleyes, perch it doesn’t matter.

We’ve been running Otters for years but like anything else the quality is going the wrong direction. All these manufactures are piecing everything together from the cheapest Chinese garbage that they can. Just flip a coin now days and just expect to replace it down the road.

Of course it’ll be a S show. Where else can everyone in the state go to pretty much drill a hole anywhere and catch numbers of walleyes? We only go first couple weeks because of the lack of ice else where.
