That was a riot! Wonder if he would get into fishing for cats?
August 29, 2012 at 2:05 pm #1095515I have used the rock creek launch fairly regularly. Yea the low water can be a pain. I use rock creek to get out to the Mississippi. Never tried fishing rock creek. Rock creek is just a shorter trip for me, rather than heading up to Clinton. Don’t put the boat in storage yet, should be some good fall fishing in our area….at least I hope.
August 17, 2012 at 1:24 pm #1092880During warm weather indoor plumbing is not that important. If you spend enough time trying to noodle for walleyes, business takes care of itself!
August 8, 2012 at 12:54 pm #1090628Windows can be set up on apple. We switched a number of years ago and are very pleased. Speak with an apple rep say at best buy. They will guide you through the transition and concerns about the window apps. Apple customer service is great, when you need assistance. I think you are making a good decision.
February 28, 2012 at 3:21 pm #1043949I have a poor sense of direction. I can get lost in a plowed corn field.
February 22, 2012 at 1:49 pm #1041660No, his six month tour just ended,so it was his turn to come home. Check out major news sources online you’ll find the story. Best wishes for your brother.
February 8, 2012 at 7:28 pm #1036726Congratulations! We were able to make graduation of our son from Air Force basic training, it was a great day. That was nearly six years ago. In a couple of weeks he will be returning from Afganistan, the second and I hope his final deployment. I think he is ready to be a civilian again. So this summer he will complete the six year enlistment. Dad and son will enjoy a few barley pops while fishing this summer! and a to your son.
December 14, 2011 at 6:19 pm #1017695At first I thought this was going to be a humorous story. I stop at a local gas station on the way to work for coffee. I frequently get asked….what are you going to do about this weather. Being a National Weather Service employee, my response usually is we need this weather, humidity, snow, ice, tornados, always the ever changing conditions….because it keeps us from being invaded from the west coast folks. The clerks smile, laugh and say yup…Iowa is pretty special. To bad we let one sneak in! Here’s to Iowa.
December 11, 2011 at 4:45 pm #1016697Snagging a water moccasin! Casting from shore on a small lake in Kentucky. Thought I had a nice fish on. Snakes creep me out anyway. Once I saw what was hooked, about 20 feet from shore……couldn’t cut the line fast enough.
December 7, 2011 at 12:21 pm #1015332Some folks are will always be a ‘Richard Cranium’ no matter how you slice it. Working for folks like that has helped me be a better leader. I’ve learned how poor leaders treat employees, and I just do not let that happen to the folks working for me.
August 1, 2011 at 2:43 pm #985390We have had a big green egg for 5 years and love it! Have cooked just about anything including pizza and loafs of bread. Just had to replace the grate that the coal sits on, it rusted and wore away. Sent an email picture to store where purchased, which saved a trip to the store, a week later had a new grate no charge. So the lifetime warranty does work. It has been said by big green egg users that even if you mess up grilling something it still is good. I agree with this, cause I’ve done some mistakes….ya know drinking beer having a good time and forget to check the meat…was still good to eat!
March 2, 2011 at 6:41 pm #943090Talk to that guy at Everts, forgot his name he’ll point you in the right direction for some new plastics….you could even test drive a new rod….oh whats his name I know you should bring cookies (fresh baked) for the best results gaining fishing info.

January 19, 2011 at 1:14 pm #927756Relax dude. Eat some veggies this will help loosen the cheese curds in your colon!
Cool plate! I am a Bears fan but will support the Packers if they make it to the big dance.
December 15, 2010 at 2:52 pm #917403All very interesting perspectives. I love to fish but I am not intense trying to catch fish. I just keep it simple, beer, outdoors and good friends to fish with. Fishing really helps me deal with being burned out with work, home, bills, politics etc.

FYI…have just been lowered again.
Heading up to Evert’s next week, and still learning P4. Does lowering the gates lead to better chances catching some eyes/saugers?
