I assume your realtor is Watson. The only advice I can offer is spend your time on Rainy. Kab is OK but not the fishery Rainy is. Also on Black Bay, beware the shallow rocks. It’s a good area but use caution until you learn it.

Yep watson. Thx for the reply and the welcome. By my standards kab is a great place to fish but then again by basis for comparison is illinois haha. Definitely gonna give rainy a try. Are u from the area?

I know this thread is a cpl yrs old but figured id give it a bump. The subject is of particular interest to me because i am in the process of buying a house on the rat root river and have never fished it. So I’m curious if u ended up giving it a whirl while u were out there. …if so how did ya do? My realtor also happens to be a guide who fishes mostly kab and namakan has told me pretty much the same thing James is saying. He also added there are trophy class pike to be caught in the river as well. Def looking forward to the move from IL!!! My intention is to fish kab for the most part but the allure of only driving a half mile down the road to the boat launch, putting in on rrr and sneaking out for a few hrs after work has got me on a search for info about the rat root river, rat root lake and, black bay.
Oh and Darling is 2nd only to dubnyk in save% this year btw. Not a whole lotta relief there either.
The Wild absolutely dominated play for large stretches. Those 2 goals on 2 shots really took the wind out of the sails.
The Wild have more balance than the Hawks, but agreed, they lack a guy that can take over a game, but the way Granlund has been playing he just might be our guy.
I am counting on Crawford getting worn down the stretch here. Since Darling is out he will be pressured much more than before.
Yeah, we have lost the last 3 head to head matchups with the Hawks, but we are still up in points and have that game in hand.
The play the last 2 games has been much improved so that is a positive sign, but our D zone coverage is lacking.
The White play was just plain dumb. You don’t give up on a play, but 9 out of 10 times when a player does that it doesn’t result in a puck in your net either so it is hard to fault him too much.

Suter is better than Keith. Spurgeon is better than Seabrook. IMHO of course, because it is hard to quantify.
I’m kind of hoping Chicago gets within 1 point of us to keep us on our toes. Also to make the games the rest of the way meaningful. I don’t know how into a game I would be with the wild say 8+ points up on them.
