I am going to give it a year to see if there are any problems with them. I have a 8″ STX Jiffy now and I love it but No gas to mix, no gas on the hands/gloves, no choke to deal with, and next to no smell…I’m in on the Pro 4. Too much plastic on the Strikemaster for me, but that is how they keep the weight down.

ya, they keep calling me as well. But they call from about 6 different numbers n area codes. Last guy got pissed at me when I told him “NOT INTERESTED”…he said “you entered” n got all pissed about it. Maybe that will be the last call

I’m betting you will see a truck out there om the 10th with the cold this week. One will be on the bottom on the 12th where the ice just formed yesterday and today.

There was a booth at the ice show last year selling them for 849 so if they are doing the same this year, one is coming home to WI.

I see someone in Rice Lake I think, selling them on a large internet auction site. They are the same concept. Saw them selling them last year as well if you don’t want to make one.

I’ve never caught one in my life until last year when I caught 2 in two days. The first on I caught on a tipup in shallow water. It set the flag off and SSSSLLLLLOOOOWWWLLY took line. Imagine our surprise when it hit the surface of the ice running. The next day we had the long rods out and were fishing open water on the Eau Claire River and I caught one on a jig&minnow. The open water one was a couple inches bigger though. I couldn’t believe my luck.

I didn’t read the rules for the Sat. event….looks like Sunday only for me. I don’t think the cave man fishing works for me anymore.

Jiffy, all the way for me. I have fished with just about every auger out there and my Jiffy STX (although heavy) 3hp is faster than any of them and when was the last time you heard of a Jiffy breaking down. My cousin has the Eskimo and it is even heavier than mine. My dad has the Strike Lite and broke the vanes off the bit. I might sell mine and get the new Jiffy just to save some weight.

Kinda funny I got a quote from a camper dealer in Duluth that quoted me 2500 more than I ended up paying. WOW

Nice house. I like the fact that it has the 2X3 rectangular steel frame instead of the angle iron that is typical of Ice Castle.

That was a big plus when I was looking. I would not have bought it with an angle iron frame.

This is all great but I still need pics of some wheel systems. I can get the trailer for nothing so I think I am going that way. I don’t plan on having 2k in the whole house much less 1500 to 2k in the trailer alone. I thought I could just take the alxe out frfom under the camper and cut the wheel ends off and reattach them somehow to let me make a crank down house. If you have any pics please post them. I appreciate any help. Thanks

Northern tool and supply sells these trailers also. May want to stop by to check them out.

I looked on their website and didn’t see any trailers with crank down wheels. Do you have a link? Thanks

Me and 3 others hit it one day last Jan and didn’t do very well. Might be willing to give it another try though.

Show me anywhere else that you can sell items for free?

Craigslist Sell free all day long. Hey, I agree. I come here for fishing info and not for classifides. I’m just saying the number of adds is going to drop = less chance of getting a deal or trying to find what you are looking for. I know you can use other sites to find stuff but it was nice to see just fishing gear and fishing gear that is specific for our region in one place.

I like seeing a higher volume of ads. If I am looking for something, I like to see some options. I really don’t care if someone is just here to sell something. The way I see it, it is better for me to see more ads. Put me down for not wanting pay ads.

How slow will a 115hp 4 stroke troll down to on a 17′ boat?

My kids are 5 and 10. A full windshild or dual console seems like you lose quite a bit of room in the boat. What do you think of the big tillers? Like 90-100hp? I kind of like the Lund 1700 Explorer for size and options I also like the Cresliner Fishhawk 1750 or Alumacraft Navigator 17′. Just trying to figure out tiller or console now. I do like almost laying down in my seat with my feet kicked up on the rod locker and trolling around.

All the comments are great but everything I buy, as far as major purchases is the “best”. That is why you will get “brand A is the best” and “NO brand B is the best”. What works for one guy is not really what works best for the next guys needs and budget.

Also as far as a certain brand of boat only coming with a certain kind of motor — You can’t go buy a new Chev with a Ford engine or vice versa. Bottom line is you have to compromise on what boat and motor you get.

I would like to hear some “realworld” reviews of these. If they work I’d shell out a hundy.

I don’t have the H2O yet. I might not have it in time. I do have a Garmin Etrex without mapping.
