Another vote for Clear lake exit truck stop. I’ve left vehicles there for a couple days when heading north many times with no problems.

Thanks for the responses folks. I was kind of leaning towards a 19 pitch tempest.

Wish I lived closer to Sioux Falls. Anybody know if these seminars travel around, any closer to Des Moines, IA?

I pick up my new boat in a few weeks which is my first experience with rod lockers. If you don’t use tubes and lay rods on top of each other do they get beat up in rough water?

Do those rods work well for long longing with mono or superlines also?

I used 3/4″ stainless screws. Don’t know the number but they are a solid diameter. There was about 1/8″ or so of aluminum and roughly 3/4″ wood to screw into. With the flush mount the pressure is not a direct pull, no fish will pull it out. Maybe if you tied an anchor to it you’d have a problem. I do check them once in a while but have rarely had any loosen. No doubt bolts will be better but screws appear to be plenty strong.

I have a 2003 Sportfish and I use the flush mount ram’s with screws. Had to drill a hole first of course but then just screws. No problems so far.

Sorry guys, I wasn’t very clear but my question was directed to Pool 4. Thanks for the info still though.

Thanks for the quick reply Jason. I have been reading your posts and articles, great information I will surely read again and again. Your posts are a big reason I’m going with the SI unit. I thank you but my pocket book probably doesn’t.
