Thanks for the reply. From what I gathered, the big round baitcasters are the ones that have a line guide that travels when casting, and the smaller teardrop shaped reels don’t travel when casting. Is that the general rule? I just can’t think of a way to figure out if the Daiwa Exceler 100H is supposed to function that way- unless I can find someone else who owns one.
