This was my result 1 week ago… Still deep 35-38fow, walleye suckers on a jig. Look for baitfish or fish hugging the bottom on your finder and set up over the top of them, we had to move around to keep catching but fished till we were out of 2 dozen suckers. Def more small fish but we caught a few slot fish as well.

Light bite, i seemed to do better with less aggressive jigging. Had buddies in another boat trying a more aggressive approach with jigging raps etc, they didn’t boat a single fish.

Going on my 5th year with the bench seat, no issues, can squeeze 2 adults and a child in there. When by myself i use the extra bench space as a table/rod holder for all my equipment i am using. Im 6’2″ 240lbs, no issues with being uncomfortable.

I had the unfortunate request from the wife to run to cub on lunch for a can of cream of celery. The last minute xmas shopper combined with snow storm shoppers was quite the site to see. About an inch so far in the north metro

I guy that I work with has a brother that worked for the DNR/Conservation out west and he stated the same thing. They do very well in the rivers out there and they are treated just like rough fish.

The great river road from the twin cities to Prairie Du Chien is one of my favorite rides. Just beautiful.

We finished it last night, def a different breed of people. Another one we randomly stumbled across was Dont F*** with cats, dont know why we picked it but we couldn’t shut it off until the end. Id give that one a shot to if you are bored.

I used to dehydrate meals and portion into food saver bags for the BWCA, then i would reheat with boiling water. Tasted pretty good, similar to microwaved leftovers if you got the water ratio right. Took some practice but was alot of fun. Key is to use lean meats and remove as much fat as possible. I perfected spaghetti.

I might finally go 100% artificial and not drag along any live bait.

All my winter procrastination is starting to show with the snow melt. Year after year I dump my whole engel in the snow next to my garbage. I should just stop bringing the buggers home.

No, pictometry, certain counties have it on their websites… nothing beats it for scouting in my eyes besides boots on the ground obviously.

The red dot is as far as i made it in the bog scouting last spring. those islands are easy to get to in winter walking on the ice, but nearly impossible open water. Sent you a PM. I hunted your lower left a few times.

Check out the islands north and south of the somerset landing. This section can be found on the St croix river website (nps.gov), section Hwy 8 to the high bridge. I used to camp here all the time when I lived over their. Otherwise you can try camp on the Hudson islands but it will be about as primitive as big island on minnetonka….

I wonder if it’s due to the new crest gates. For so many years it was wide open all winter, now they keep the pool elevated all year. Seems like the first warm January we have had since they installed the new gates in 2015. I know ice dams were a huge problem with the original gates they took out in the 60’s but that was before my time.

Fixed, easier to clean the knife for me. I use the KOA Cub Bear, extremely sharp and precise. It is small which i believe is a lot easier to use. My knife came as a kit with the Bush knife as well, if I didn’t always have a small hatchet for the rib cage id use the Bush knife to cut through the ribs the Cub bear for everything else.

Try rockauto most the OEM or better parts there are about as expensive as the cheapest option at the auto parts store.

I just installed a 7500w elec in my 30×26 garage due to the fact that i do not have gas ran to the garage and ill be moving in a year and a half and only need it when im tinkering around there. If i was going to be at the house longer no doubt i would have went with gas, the 7500w unit costs about 68 cents an hour to run.

Whoops just saw how old this was… sorry
