Thanks for the video as I have been looking to purchase this rod. Being I haven’t fished with one yet, any difference between the cork handle vs. the EVA foam that you have heard, in regards to sensitivity?

Denny O is right on. 2-2-1 or 3-2-1 method at 225 degrees and you can’t go wrong. No need to take the temp of the ribs because they are usually done being in that long. I did baby backs with the 2-2-1 method and they turned out great. I added honey, apple juice and a little brown sugar on one rack when I foiled and the other was maple syrup, apple juice and brown sugar on the other. MMMM good

I just did my first smoke ever last weekend and it was baby back ribs. I have an electric smoker and they turned out awesome. I used the 2-2-1 method. 2 hours at 225F with hickory smoke, foil for 2 hours and then 1 hour with no smoke and no foil. They turned out great. I started friday night, pull off the membrane on the ribs, put yellow mustard on the ribs and then add the rub. Put in fridge overnight. Next day I started the smoker at noon and was eating by 5:30. Lots of things to smoke and choose from. Im hooked. Good Luck

I am new to it also, but check out smokingmeatforums.com and there is more information there than you can digest. Everything from recipes to smokers and all in between. Good Luck!

Congrats on the hunt! Sounds like a great time. Just curious what kind of gun and load you are using? I have two kids that will be hunting in the next year or two and was wondering what kind of set up others use for first timers.

I just got a masterbuilt electric smoker for Christmas and have never smoked before, so if you care to share your recipe or experience with the whole chickens that would be great.

Congrats! Where do you aim on the bird? I am taking my bow out this coming week and was told aim for where the wing meets the body. Sound ok?

I have hunted them in Alabama and we just sat in deer stands and waited for them to come out in their green fields or places they have been tearing up. Bring bullets is right. You don’t realize how fast a pig can run when bullets are flying!! Piglets are a real challenge

I have a crestliner 1850 which is aluminum and was wondering what people have used to protect the bottom of the boat. I was going to put a keel guard on, but with the “rib” running down the middle I didn’t think the keel guard would work because there would be an area for water to get in. The hull is shaped different than a fiberglass boat. Any ideas what to use?
