That is most likely the max for that boat if it is a tiller. I have a 1754 war eagle and I have it maxed out at 50. Loaded with 3 people you would always like more, but with just myself and a fishing load I can hit 34-35

Don’t get me wrong, I think there is a lot of education on here that extremely helps people out, but at the same time others abuse the info I believe.

I tried to stay out of these topics as much as possible. I will put something out there that a lot of people aren’t taking into consideration.
There is a lot more big fish and numbers of fish being caught than what is said or posted on this and other websites. A lot of the more common posters in years past, MYSELF INCLUDED, have not posted reports and pictures like everybody is used to. Due to many different reasons people are deciding to post less and less about the bite and big fish.

Case in point, Myself and 1 other good fishing buddy spent a total of 19 separate days on the water from February 24th to April 17th. In those 19 trips there was a total of 24 fish over 26″ and within those fish 13 of them were over 10 lbs. And yes I have pictures of every one of them.

So what im saying here is that although a lot of people are not seeing the pictures and hearing the stories, they are still being caught and more than most people think.

Now on a side note, do I believe this year was a down year, yes I would agree. But with that said, for as many years as I have fished the river, I cannot say that conditions have ever been the same between any 2 years. The river changes, the fish follow suit and change also. Also there is a general cycle of highs and lows in the population also.

That’s my .02 of it all.

I agree with everything said above. I am not saying websites like this have ruined fishing, but as far as publicity to certain areas and the ease of learning about a bite hasn’t exactly helped with all of that in my opinion. There has been more fishing pressure then I have ever seen in my life right now. The river has also changed a lot. If you ask any biologist a lot of the fishing relies on the creel surveys. That is a large part of it as well.

16 dead dogs in the barn? Are you guys f***ing kidding me? I’m sure any of you that are attempting to defend him leave your family pets that have died out in the garage for a while as well…………….

After hearing a lot of what the reporter exaggerated on I am still disgusted. He was also not giving the dogs their vaccines and what not. Did he have the original dogs tested to see if their DNA was ok to be properly reproducing even? I made a mistake when I was 25 purchasing a springer spaniel from a lady in Northern Wisconsin. I was told that the dog was tested for any and all diseases that are linked with springer spaniels. I trained the dog and he was performing awesome. A little over a year old he went through a type of auto immune disorder that I later found out to be PFK deficiency. It is a disease that only runs in the line of English Springer Spaniels. It cost me $2600 to basically revive him and get him blood transfusions, test for disease, and build his body back to normal. I went back to the breeder and they denied everything. I then sent the Wisconsin Ag Department on their ass and they lost out big time. If you are going to breed dogs do it responsibly. When you are going to buy dogs, do your research and don’t support irresponsible breeders.
I have since purchased a yellow lab and took my time picking out the breeder and went to meet her and her puppies and dogs. Everything is documented and I have had great success. The springer is still a great dog, but I can’t hunt him anymore. He is a glorified house dog that wants to hunt and retrieve anything in sight as that what his first year of life was all about. Its kind of sad.

Back to this clown, Don’t fool yourselves. Any responsible dog breeder is taking care of their animals. They all will have sufficient food, water, space to move around in. I don’t care what kind of reporter this person is that wrote it, I have heard about this guys operations a while ago. While I am not a fan of the ascpa, peta, this guy deserves to be locked up/mental help. There are two sides to every story and I get that, but how many of you treat a sole dog the way these animals were treated?

Good Choice. I own several YETI coolers and Igloo Yukon coolers as well. They are very well built and for what most people spend on ice I will make up for the lifetime of my cooler and the least ice bought. They are also very reliable and hold up very well. I have a Yeti 45, 20, bag 30, Igloo Yukon 90 Glide, 70, 45
Are they a luxury? not as much as you would think. Craftsmanship on these coolers are top notch and they back them up! I would buy more but my wife would find one that would lock me up is the problem!

Won’t happen, they got the guys with money interested in fishing now! Plus those boats can be way more than the average guy needs. Boats can do a lot more nowadays then 15 years ago.

My question is when are manufacturers and dealers going to turn it down so the average guy can buy a new rig?

Whatever ones you get make sure they are the glass ones and that they are polarized. Spending that much money for the plastic ones are like taking one of the hottest girls to the prom. Its great, but everyone knows you aren’t getting anywhere with her because she is your sister. Get the Glass ones and you will never own different pair of sunglasses.

None of them are cheap by any means. The problem is there are a bunch of lithium batteries that they tried to make in China with cheap labor and found out that they didn’t meet a lot of requirements. Even the 3.2 volt lithium cells they were making before were dangerous. Now there are some coming certified with a warranty!
