I’ve had three pair, and love them! I don’t know that the quality is to Costa, or Maui Jims, but they are well constructed, and durable.

Thanks for all your responses, I’ll give them a try, and see what happens. I’m really tired of feeling ripped off for something that’s used (viewed) only a couple hours a night.
Wally.
Thanks Eric for a great tournament! Well organized. Though we ended with one sheep, and one small sauger (I’ve never fished the river before), we had a good time.
hope to do it again, with better weather, next year.
thoroughly enjoyed.
I’m 57, I got the far/ near, sighted correction done , and love it….my doc asked if I wanted to try some glasses that would replicate what it would be like. I chose not to, and would have it done again. It’s hard to tell the difference unless I close one eye and either try to read, or see distance. I had my dominate eye (used for shooting) done for distance, and my non dominate eye done for reading. Good luck.
I made a mistake when I first got to Minnesota as a transplant after my carreer in the Navy. While fishing (with a license) day before opener, i caught a smallmouth on fourtown lake in the bwcaw, I put it on a stringer (in the south we eat bass), and remembered a couple minutes later that it was not in season, and immediately returned it…it swam away vigorously; and shortly after a CO paddled up, and ticketed me , took my gear, and read me the riot act. I tried to explain myself, but he wasn’t hearing any of it. I admit, I was wrong, but I let it go, it survived, and I had my gear taken, and was fined.
So how is it the native americans that are warned in advance not to do something can get away unscathed for breaking laws? Enforce the laws, and fewer people will stop breaking them! You can’t allow some to break the law, and others not to.
my 2 cents.

I’ve been carrying for the last year (still a newbie); I like the crossbreed (sp), conceal holster. I’ve learned that open carry can lead to bigger problems. As for the weapon, carry what you’re comfortable with . You’re more likely to carry it, and you’re used to the way it shoots. The saying goes ” it’s better to carry and not need it,than to need it and not have it. ”
My 2cents.
I’m by no means an expert, but we were up in early june, and we were catching eyes fairly regularly using a spinner rig, and leaches in around 15 to 25 fow. We were fishing early morning/early evening (6:30ish p.m.)on, yet I only caught one keeper as the slot was restrictive. Hope this helps.
Go on YouTube , and research trout almondine….by NHFishandgame. Its Tall Timber’s trout Almondine. It’s fantastic especially with garlic mashed potatoes, or wild rice!
Hi all,
I am heading up for the annual trip to VNP on Sunday. We will be staying on the east end of namakan near the narrows. Anyone have an idea of water temp or been up that way recently? It generally doesn’t take us to long to figure out a pattern but any advanced info would be helpful to get us started. Any info you provide is appreciated!
we just got back on friday…bring a screen tent! Water temps were in the high 50’s , low 60’s , we were on Mcmanus island, and had a great time. Walleye action was best in the morning , and evenings….good luck.
Go to steep and cheap, and look for the deals section. I got a set of Native polarized sunglasses listed at $150.00 , for $35.00. They have some really good deals there.
