    Yes we should be barbless
    Just like Manitoba
Would surely cut down on mortality

The dnr needs to get the hooking mortality facts right
There is no way that many fish have died by hooking mortality.
If this is true the non band harvest has not been met and there would be no reason for everyone to be worked up.
All of you anglers know that there have not been many dead walleye this summer
The people who are on the lake everyday can provide all the information the dnr needs to know about the status of the fishery.
I think we all know that if you put any wild creature in a cage for five days without food that some will die hooking mortality or not.
I only saw one dead walleye in 6 hours of fishing over three days last weekend.
Not sure where this thing is headed now.
Do we really need to test net the lake every spring and fall
How many fish are killed in this Process and does the band and the dnr d other do this?

The walleyes I have caught seem very healthy and I have taken great care to make sure they are released quickly the dnr is not accurate in their mortality calculations
The populations appears to be very healthy to me based in the fish I have caught.
They need to change their hook mortality calculation estimates
I certainly do not think we have killed that many walleyes based on catch and release
Mother Nature will take care of itself if we just stop trying to over mange things

does the dnr know how many fish would die naturally if they do not eat for 5-7 days
i am wondering if this test of keeping in a pen for this length of time makes any sense and is really valid????
