Well decided to get the amped outdoors 18ah battery as it was about half the cost of the 32ah as well as is spec’d to last 2000 charge cycles vs. the 32ah only having around half that. They also have a 10% off coupon and free shipping going on now as well!

Also for anyone not aware Cabelas will price match and beat it by 5% if you are a club member, not a club member then they will just match!Good to know, thanks! How would one go about getting this price matched for an online order? I don’t have a Cabela’s near me.

you will need to call in to place an order over the phone

With the easy start my measured MAX amp draw was 8 amps. They will not harm your AC.

Definitely going to look into, how long have you been using it for? Found some quick reviews on Amazon, do you notice the AC not cooling as good with it installed? https://www.amazon.com/Micro-Air-EasyStart-Soft-Starter-ASY-364-X20-IP/dp/B085468Y9P/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Air+Conditioner+Soft+Start&qid=1598380344&sr=8-2#customerReviews
Not particularly an answer to the original question but I installed a micro start in my AC unit on my ice castle RV edition, now i run my whole house with a 2200 watt honda generator. Typically never goes out of eco mode.
Hum that is interesting never heard of them, which one did you get? Any install photos? I have a 5 yr old eu2000 that I wonder if it would work with one of those. Just would be concerned to make sure I wouldn’t damage the AC unit or compressor… Else may need to sell this one and get the larger one
I have had 4 marcum units an LX7, LX9, and two LX-6’s none ever had an issue. I would buy in an instant if I needed a flasher again.
have a rubber floor so doesn’t matter as we keep fans on but typically shoes or slippers
I picked mine up a 2 years ago from a fella who thought he could use his as a summer camper as well. His wife decided fairly quick that a trailer designed to be fished out of on a frozen lake doesn’t have the same creature comforts that a travel trailer has. It was purchased new in October of 2017 and I bought it in June of 2018 and paid less than what dealerships were advertising older models for. Keep your eyes open as the season wears down and don’t be afraid to look throughout the summer. I’ve seen some pretty good prices thrown around on fish houses in the summer.
+++1, I picked up a 2 year old team lodge with every option and got for pretty much half off from southern, mn last june! To give you an idea it was orig listed forsale for 25k, I kept watching and it dropped to 22k and I was able to get it for 16k. Got really lucky with that find and make sure to negotiate.
Also, don’t be shy to travel as both mine that I have owned one was from sd/wyoming, and the other from southern mn but both were excellent deals!! My first one I used for 3 years and sold for what I bought it for
I bought my 18ah battery direct from Amped Outdoors. Fast shipping. Excellent product. Make sure you get a charger that supports the lithium lifepo batteries or you won’t get a full charge. This size is fits perfectly in place of the 12ah SLA that comes with the ice kit. Runs all day for me.
Great to know, thanks! Are these batteries heavier?
Cameron, do you have these for sale still? How much? Is there a specific size that is best for the garmin livescope 93 that will give a days worth of use?
Also does anyone know how long one would get out of the garmin livescope 93 with the stock battery? Also how long does it take to charge with there stock charger? Just pulled the trigger today on buying one
End of year is better time to buy. Buying in the beginning wont be as good from what I found.
Ive fished a lake as well that was supposedly stocked with walleyes and never caught one off that lake and so I gave up there. However, most other lakes I have no issues catching them. It could be the abundance of perch that is making it harder to catch.
I also agree fish with some medium suckers and see how it goes, but you will now have to wait…
ck grabber posted above as a gift, haven’t used them yet but I’d guess they work better than the boards.
These look pretty neat on how the bend and curve thinking of buying a set, looks like they doubled in price though as they are now 120 a set…
Wow those tracgrabbers look sweet I wonder how they perform on the ice? But this will be an issue for me and will be a deal breaker. Below is a review I seen online:
Although I haven’t had a chance to actually test these in a real life situation, it appears that on my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 4×4 there may be a clearance problem in the wheel well. Be sure to check the clearance on your vehicle before trying this product or you will probably damage your vehicle.
Any Dakota lithium battery deals out there , bulk group deals ?
Put me on the list if you get a few to sign up or a deal that makes it worth it
Cheap rubber floor mats would do the same thing….
Hum never thought of that have you used them before?

Anyone know how much power is needed to run a 7inch Garmin with. Panoptix transducer? 12 volt battery but how big? Amps?Buzz, I recommend running a 10AH Lithium battery if you can. Panoptix will not functions below 10.0V so you will get less time out of a SLA.
Reported run times on the dakota batteries has been 10-11 hours with screen brightness at 50%.
I mounted my panoptix and head unit on a lithium shuttle. I have not been able to fish long enough to have it go dead. Based on real world results the Lithium shuttle will get you at least 12 hours.
Could you show some photos on how you set this up? I was thinking of using a shuttle that I had as well, well if I could as I was looking at the 9″ garmin livescope. Thanks
Thanks! If one buys the icefishing bundle is there other accessories that need to be purchased seperatly for icefishing?
Has anyone purchased from the above places? Good or bad experiences?
Anyone find any good deals on the icefishing bundle? Thinking of buying one
Yes, it is the rapala lock and hold. I have mine in the bathroom with a ton of misc things on the ground bouncing all over probably but you got to remember the weight (force) of the rods are downwards plus there sunk in that slot not one moved/bounced out and Im not a grandma driver lol… But I just mounted it on the wall and its good to go!!
Hey guys just wanted to report on my first use over the weekend, I bought the above Rapala one and traveled an hr to the lake and then all over tons of bumpy areas on the lake and the 5 rods never moved out of their slot, so its a win win for me! Thanks all that replied to help!
I have the Rapala Lock n Hold; however, my buddy has the Catch Cover one. The Rapala one, being two pieces, is a more accommodating if you have short and varying lengths of rods. I mounted mine about 10-11″ apart, so the plastic jaws are below the first eyelet on most of my rods, and just above it on my shortest. I measured the CC one, it’s around 8″ from top to bottom, but the butt of the rod sits below the bottom piece, up to the reel seat.
I don’t travel with my rods in the holder, I keep them in cases. You may be able to travel with the rods in the CC one, especially if you put a piece of tape over the slot for each. I could still see them bouncing around a bit and if the rod hits that groove right it/they could fall out.
Smokey Hills outdoors has a lot of great YouTube videos related to accessories and maintenance for Ice Castles.

Thanks a lot for such an informative response!! I think I am going to go with that rapala one as it looks very slick and clean looking and think I would like that locking part! My plan is to put the rods in there and travel with them so may need to put some foam around parts but I dont think that will be an issue.
Thanks also Kevin for your info as well if this doesn’t work well I will definitely check yours out!
I just pull down back tailgate and leave open and keep tonneau cover on with the exhaust pointed outwards and you can keep it inwards from the edge of the tonneau cover. I also just park truck so the wind is hitting the side or front of the truck and have no issues. Also when the wind is trying to creep in from the side I will use an old cooler on the side to give it more wind protection and you are good to go. Last weekend worked great, did use it once outside on the ground and it died on me overnight even with trying to keep wind off it and had to warm it up to get it to fire again.
Adrians turn off the main road, right north off pine island, less than a mile I would say. I heard it was river-bends plowed road I believe and we only went in on that road for 1/2 block, but the main road there had it also when we left and the plows only had it as a one lane in/out on Sunday. But i’m sure they did something by now but was curious why they dont they put bridges out right away when they see stuff like that as it seemed to get worse fairly quickly.
We also decided to go to another place and when a V plow came through and plowed a new road that roads entrance started to flood a little thankfully he didn’t come back and it seemed to heal over night.
But a lot of pockets of slush water could be seen on both sides of the road all over going in/out.
