I took the remote apart yesterday and bent the contacts on the sides out and it worked fine all day Tuesday, no shut offs. We will see what happens today.

You shouldn’t have to restart it. If the propeller indicater is spinning its running.
When you turn it back on the propellor is not running and you have to press it to go also.March 3, 2013 at 1:26 am #1147769Quote:
Since we are now on Do’s and Dont’s for the Anoka Dam. Don’t anchor a canoe in front of one of the closed gates and start fishing. When the gate automatically opens, the flow wedges the anchor in a snag and starts to pull the bow under. Next Don’t, don’t cut the anchor rope without a plan. As soon as the rope is cut, it takes off downriver like a rocket – twirling end to end, with the guy in the front seat, screaming at the top of his voice “We are going to die, We are going to die”!
Now that really tickled me. Probably not funny at the time, but it made me laugh. Thanks
October 28, 2012 at 2:57 pm #1108021I thought it was the breakers (they are automatic reset) because in a couple minutes it would be fine. The last time it quit it did not reset til overnight, fine in the morning.
October 27, 2012 at 9:49 pm #1107959I meant to send this to General Discussion, do not know what I did wrong
October 27, 2012 at 9:40 pm #1107958My I-Pilot remote went blank while using it. If I touched any button all the icons would come on for about three seconds then go blank again. There is no remote battery icon on my remote even though the book says there is one. After about two or three minutes it would work again. This happened twice and I thought the automatic circuit breakers were popping and then resetting. The third time it happened it did not come back on, the next morning it was working. I did not have a chance to use it as I was pulling out for the season. Anyone have any ideas?
July 18, 2012 at 8:37 pm #1085498There was eight kids in our family and I can still remember my father boning the cooked fish for all the litle guys. I learned how to filet and would bring fish home all ready to cook. Pa got to eat with the rest of us. Taught him how to filet and that was it, throw the scalers away. The little bit of meat I lose is not worth the effort.
June 19, 2012 at 3:58 am #1076945The empty shells wash up on the beaches. In front of my sisters house they are at least 6 inches deep. This is on the Wolf in Winneconne.
April 12, 2012 at 2:08 am #1058141Do they mean there no weeds or zeebs til May 25th, and then only on the weekends?

August 9, 2011 at 12:44 am #987064They hold a sheephead tournament out of Omro, Wi. every year. This year it took 91 lbs. (10 Fish) to make the top ten. The top five had over 100 lbs. The tournament is limited to 100 boats and it fills every year.

Block letteringFebruary 7, 2011 at 1:55 am #934333Mossydan, you not only have alot of mechanical talent but you can also describe it well. A great job with words, it reads like I’m there and can hear it run. Thanks.

June 8, 2010 at 1:52 am #878061This a great site. The people on here have some great insight into a lot of areas. I checked my lower unit and it is at the right height as per the picture on the other site. I wasn’t having any issues, but just good to know. Thanks.
March 4, 2010 at 5:17 am #848806Home Depot sells marine plywood, it has to be ordered special, $72 for 3/4inch 4 X 8 sheets. You order it at the contractors desk. They will make two cuts on each sheet for you but will not guarentee exact cuts. That was last year, two years ago I redid my decks and last year built and changed some compartments, price was still the same.
February 20, 2010 at 3:16 am #844266Every year over the winter I go through all my tackle and weed out what I didn’t really use. I am a buyer, if I read or someone says this is good, I gotta try it. Of course I then go back to my old standbys and do better. Every spring when the Merrimac (boat) leaves the garage, the wife has a garage sale and I give it all to her. I never see or ask for any of the money. When a package comes from Cabelas or BPS, she jokingly asks is that for the garage sale. 4 or 5 years ago I had 142 Rattlin raps, she sold 97 to one guy for $1.50. She called me on the lake to ask if she could give the 3600 box with the broken hinge to him.(don’t ask me why anybody would have 142 Rattlin raps).
February 19, 2010 at 6:30 am #843909A few words of wisdom, whenever you are wrong admit it, whenever your right shut up. Worked for me for 39 years. Good luck.
February 14, 2010 at 3:41 am #842249Where did you find a wife that will winch the boat up for you? You better keep her and do as she says.
February 4, 2010 at 3:14 am #839513Thanks for the information. I have the V-2 with the copilot, I guess I will not be upgrading. Sure would like that spot lock option but can’t justify changing if it won’t do what I need it to do.
February 3, 2010 at 4:42 pm #839280On the V-2, is there a way to turn off the I-Pilot and use the foot pedal? Example: When you are using two jig poles and following an irregular break line.
