I’ve run a 186 Allure since 2014. As long as you drive the boat for the conditions you will be fine in 3-4’ers. Driving style also depends on how dry you will stay. Any type of strong cross wind and you will get a little wet, but most boats are that way. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

I have a couple of the Avid Ice 30″ in both ML and M. I actually prefer them over some of my custom rods. The action is a true xf that I love. I fish a lot of jigging raps and use the ML for size 2 and 3. Anything bigger gets the M. The #4 rippin raps are okay on the ML but anything bigger I go to the M. I think you would be happy with the Avid’s.

One other tip. After skating on an outdoor rink get her skates sharpened BEFORE skating back on the indoor rink. It’s amazing how fast an outdoor rink can take the edges off your skates. I had to get mine sharpened in between periods once or twice before I figured out what was causing it.

I also have a 2015 but I have the Allure model. Picked mine up in July of 2014 so I’ve had it 2 years now. No complaints about it and I fish Lake Winnebago and the Bay of Green Bay primarily so I’ve gotten to run it in all sorts of conditions.

Check out the RS Nets if you are looking for an easy extend net. The bags on them are awesome and incredibly hard to get a hook stuck in them. You can also customize them in the colors you want.
