fishing was slow today 5fow got 8nice gills one 7 “perch been slow for a while will be picking up soon cause im hugry for gills 
we got four northerns on tip up on sat also a nice catch of gills.ask for me when you get in we got some nice maps of the area johnnie 
lots of people over for the derby,was a real nice day for fishing no wind and sunny. The fishing has been a little slower, but you still can find them we did get 4 nice northerns this sat.should be some fine weather this week for fishing . lots of trucks on ice after freze last week. still bad at stoddard landing do not drive there.bring ice cleets it is realy slippery out there right now hardly any snow cover. 
im with you bret. Guys are just trying to make living. We harvest the game fish . What if they said no more heaters no more ice shelters no more electronics?The vidio was sad.so is a picture of a winter perch full of spawn. Whats your point.I do best cleaning my own house.if the neighbors need help they can ask 
Went out with a few guests this am for a couple of three hours fog was thick took awhile to get my bearings ,iced 15 nice gills,but was the slowest day in weeks ,time to find a new spot im thinking , mabe go back to wear i started the season , i also found a 9 foot hole i have been saving for the fish derby next weekend here in stoddard. be safe and do not drive at stoddards landing with vehicles.
truck went threw sun at the public landing in stoddard. we did fair today. Got dozen nice keepers.
been using waxies most of the season with great results. the big thing i have learned is to constantly change your height . start low then work up pausing ever now and then, it has been catching fish a lot.
I have been trying to keep a post on stoddard at least every three days. Todays report is fishing was great a nice limit in 3 1/2 hrs . Fishing in 3 to 4 feet of water my catch is on the blog for pics check http://www.watersedgemotelmarina.com

great fish congrats on the great release i hope most people release those perch they are sure full of eggs,a blast to catch.it takes a real man with a good head on his sholders to release those perch.thank you
fishing up and down i went on walk about to try new spots many small one large, talked to my buddies at waters edge later they slayed them in5to 6feet water . I sure wish some one would come and take out some of the northerns, every one is seeing them on there cameras realy throws gills off some guys have seen many 10lbers. 
several years ago wife and kids went url for fishing derby -35 below daughter and i fished hole derby never left our spot. wife and son stayed in running truck most all of the derby no shelters allowed for that derby daughter was 12yrs old can you say bring it on sissy shacks
baffin best boat i ever owned 4yrs const. three yrs working at zippel 3yrs fishing keepem dry with boot dryer last for ever doesnt matter amount of activ. just keep dry every night they go on the dryer neve have cold feet -30 northern MN by candan border cost is what you make of comfort my feet are always smileing 
I use to work at zippel,the houses are great nick and deannaare great folks my o go to lure was Gold gold gold early season was gogle eyes gigs It is a fantastic fishing always rember you have to be on the bottom like 1to3 inches i liked to bouunce on the bottom. ice is good here they are driving four wheelers. Very good ice lots of slik ice slow walking. got to do a little looking but the fish are around. nice parking behind waters edge motel only 3:00 bucks.nice and close to water.
you were ten feet from me i had an 8 hole pattern and you caught nice fish even took picturs how do you thik i felt my point was most of us are not owning holes in the ice ha hafalling of soap boxes can be harmful .some time you just have to smile and wish people a nice

zippelbay resort has nice sleepers good mid week specials, i worked there for a couple a years nick and deanna are great folks very nice place, i always did well fishing there Gold is the color of choice.
stoddard is packed with people. the paper story swamped us fishing has slowed still getting gills but its vey crowded

We have nice plowed road behind waters edge. Fihing has been good ice is 4 + good ice no poping or cracking. Caught a lot of nice gills yesterday .LET THE ICE FISHING BEGIN YAHOOOOOOO!
2 to 4 inches its kinda wierd with the snow it seems a lot thicker then it is but it sounded solid uder me im pretty big or i should asay round. ice had some cracks from presure but not week if you stick close to ice thats got no snow on it seems pretty safe to me but im a lot irish. 
fished around stoddard today i got skunked but a guy got 16 gills out a little furtherfrom me ready to go at it tommorow
