My 2019 Terrova started doing the same thing last fall, but got progressively worse and annoying. Tried cleaning the shaft, waxing it, sprayed with silicone, and all to no avail. Makes the irritating noise while repositioning in spot lock, or when I’m steering it while moving. Texted a video to our trusted local authorized repair shop, and was told it needs a new drive box (I think he said). Anyway, have known them for years, so dropped it off last week and picking it up later this week. First time I’ve had this issue with a Terrova, so can’t complain. Can give you more detail on exact fix when I pick it up.

I posted the same question on FB Minnkota page… everyone told be steering box like you said. Keep me posted on your situation

late to the show but I have the 22″, 2 burner. It has no problems heating unless the wind is blowing, but you will have heat issues on any of them then.

Love the 22 for camping, I use mine once a week in summer, and more when camping.

that said, i would stay away from the 17″ single….it’s nice to have heat zones.

I can use auto pilot, set my follow the contour, set low water depth highlights and specific depth highlights once I find where the fish are at, set waypoints, tracks, change track colors, name waypoints etc.

    What he said

The chirp 2D transducer is giving your side imaging transducer interference. The 2D needs to be mounted higher then the side imaging transducer.

SI works fine if the 10 is not drawing a signal from the MSI transducer.

If I’m drawing 2D from the Ducer on the 10 for the 12, would that make it interfere?

I did. All I get when I hit the pair button is a steady tone until I release it.

All are Networkable. I thought the MSI ducer doesn’t read well at high speeds?

Maybe I should be more clear.

    here is what I have.
    Helix 12 mega SI/DI Gen 2
Helix 10 Mega DI Gen 3
Helix 7 all season. gen 3

    Putting it on Ranger 1880ms

I am going with externally mounted transducer(s)

which transducers should I mount and do I need a splitter cable? I have 3 transducers Mega SI, Mega DI, and standard chirp(came with Helix 7).

If you are making the arms just make a 2 bases larger then the blazout base to put on the top and bottom, this will distribute the load better to the dash.

I’m not making the arm and I would reinforce the base

I had a conversation with BO and they do have a double arm mount but is quite a bit of $$$$.

I had a conversation with BO and they do have a double arm mount but it’s $400 and i’m not sure I like how it’s works.

Can fish finders get anymore complicated! Ill be looking to upgrade next year to SI and my head spins just trying to examine the options within one manufacturer never mind compare what one offers to the others. Feel like i need a PHD just to make heads or tales of which unit is the best for me,. I digress

A large part of me doesn’t even know if I will use SI but am willing to try it. Bets are that I use 2d like I always have.

once you use it…you will use it all the time!!!

back trollers will be back trollers I guess.

ran a tiller for many years and I can control the boat better from the back end.

still not convinced I will pull the trigger but want to see what the cost would be.
