Thanks for all the replies guys, but I had to do the hardest thing I have had to do, the dog showed his teeth so I put him down. It was the hardest thing I have ever done and then knowing I had to face the family after the gun blast. We have tried to cope as a family but I think last nights surprise helped a ton. You dont have to go that far south to shoot pigs–Iowa has places to go. I killed one with a 12 gauge one time, shot it right between the headlights and he dropped like a sack of potatoes. Not much left to mount but great meat.

This isn’t mine, but my Father’s first deer. He had never hunted till this year and he shot this great deer. It took him a few shots to get him down, but the 30/30 did its job. We celebrated for 2 days straight I still have a headache

One of my favorite shallow cranks for white bass is the 2 inch Baby 1 Minus. I use them during spring run after dark and in dingy water. Big whites hammer them. Nice internal rattle. Hope this helps and give them a try. BMO
