Cant go wrong with the rat-l-trap. Have had a good year already, I usually fish it like a jerk bait and it really paid off Sat. Caught around 15 bass and 7 northerns in a couple of hours. This has become one of my go to baits when the plastics are not working.

I can say like it or not, a live lamphrey has not made it living when it went back into the water…

I fish the St Croix N or St Croix Falls quite often and have been wondering the same thing over the last couple of years. Last fall every forth smallie had one and then this spring it seems like every other crappie has one. Anyone think this may have something to do with the water level being stable up there?

Good luck out there. I have been out there a few times this winter with little luck. Crappies are small, and havent been going like they were last winter. Just to sum up one day, ended up catching shiners, thought I was supposed to be fishing with them, not for……

Alright, I have been checking into this site for awhile now. Lots of great info, and now you touch on a topic that I actually know more about than fishing. Yes the “U” is the elite program but the Badgers still have to be beaten and they do have a goalie that can change any game he plays in.
