How are things on Leech? Heading up there a week from today. Hoping the deep freeze has helped the ice.

Fished areas around Garrison last weekend on a launch and the guide said the sores were fish lice….
July 5, 2012 at 10:53 pm #1081416I’ve gotten myself into a couple sticky situations fishing Pepin in high winds. It is nothing to mess around with. Similar to Mille Lacs as someone mentioned earlier. As for the backwaters, there are all kinds of areas to fish out of the wind and many species to target. A simple google search of the area can give you an idea of what you’re dealing with.

I’m not sure why everyone is complaining about this
‘Cause it’s a bad law? Just a guess on my end.
I’m not denying that it is a bad law. We have tons of bad laws, but we still have to follow them. Complaining to the CO issuing the ticket does nothing. They have been instructed that there are to be no more warnings. They are simply doing their job.
May 13, 2012 at 8:57 pm #1067901The rules are simple you guys, if you leave the access with your plug in you are subject to a ticket. Even if you drained all water, cleaned off all weeds, and drained all livewells and baitbuckets. When you are going to the launch you can not put your plug in until you reach the access and are ready to launch your boat. I’m not sure why everyone is complaining about this. It is straightforward and easy to understand. If you receive a citation for anything that falls outside of the guidelines noted above, I would fight it in court.
April 18, 2012 at 11:38 pm #1060276I own an auto inflatable I got from Cabelas last year it is very comfortable and inflates when wet. I accidentally found out that it actually does work by leaving it exposed in the rain one time. At least I know it works now!
April 18, 2012 at 11:31 pm #1060271I love Whitewater, go there for the opener every year. There are a lot of people who fish there, but generally finding fish isn’t a problem. Getting there early is key, once the sun starts beating down on the water it is very difficult to get biters. As far as other creeks go I’m limited to Hay Creek and Wells occasionally.

Just tell them you paid 900 bucks for it. If they question you just say the truck needs alot of work. I have done this on somewhat new vehicles without a totaled title, fixed em up and sold em. They might give you a dirty look but it will save you a bunch of money. It’s always worked for me and I walk out paying less then a Hundo for tax and title
X2 they give you a dirty look then write it up.
March 27, 2012 at 8:40 pm #1053155I’m very happy with my Navionics chip. Broader range and a little bit less expensive.
March 17, 2012 at 11:15 pm #1018124we had low 50’s almost everywhere for temps. clarity was very minimal.
February 10, 2012 at 2:17 am #1037360I know for a fact in MN a bait with out a hook is still counted towards your two lines. I’m not sure how they would rule on a spinner. In WI it seems 3 hooks with two hookless would be legal? or not?

Dobyns 7’3″ MH…………….$169
Skeet Reese 7’2″ Jig/worm…..$100
St. Croix Rage RC71MHXF…….$150all three will get the job done, depending on your budget. You can get all three with micro guides…
What are some of the pros/cons to the micro guides? I am intrigued by them, but haven’t purchased one yet.
October 11, 2010 at 7:05 pm #903615I’ll be back up this weekend again. Anyone been having any success?
July 16, 2010 at 10:30 pm #887483caught this one in the rush on 6/25. dont be afraid to troll up into the Rush during this high water period. we snagged 5 in about an hour then they shut off.
June 16, 2010 at 2:09 pm #880455We pulled a few out of there Monday morning. Just on the outside of either color channel marker.
June 11, 2010 at 12:33 am #879033pretty soon Chito is gonna end up like Chubbs from Happy Gilmore…with a wooden hand…if he’s lucky.
May 19, 2010 at 9:31 pm #873209kind of off topic but similar. has anyone ever seen MN & WI CO’s in the same boat? I was stopped one time on pool 4 and they said they rode together so the could enforce both sides of the river???? Also, if you are a MN resident w/o a MN license, but do have a WI license are you allowed to fish the WI side of the river? and vice versa?
May 5, 2010 at 3:40 pm #869495I thought the main reason to wear sunglasses was so you could stare at all the ladies passing by in the summer time….. Glad to hear he’s OK.
April 22, 2010 at 8:47 pm #866056He will be the best QB in the draft. Playing QB is more about knowing how to win then having the physical abilities to win. Ask Jamarcus Russell.
April 22, 2010 at 7:31 pm #866040Tebow would not be a waste of a pick. He will do more damage in the league than any of the other top QB’s. He has the attitude and the will power to be great. The other QB’s are just pretty boys.
