May 25, 2016 at 4:59 pm #1621354Running a tiller I welcomed the lack of wind, giving us the option to run and gun. With the temps in the 40-65 degree range for the early part of the week it was still cool on the water. We put on 30ish miles a day the first two days until we got em wired. Still an epic week on the water releasing 6 fish between 20.25″ and 28″ along with easily catching limits daily. My fishing partner and I got plenty of laughs, fish and sun.
May 24, 2016 at 9:29 pm #1621191Crawlers on rigs in 12′-20′, no wind we ran the trolling motor and with wind we drifted at .5-.8 mph. Points and breaks on Leech Lake. And of course someone will say “no wind?” we didn’t fish until Monday-Friday LOL!

April 21, 2015 at 5:15 pm #1536629Grolsch, Lucky Buddha and St. Pauli Girl in no particular order.
Stella, Red Stripe and Heineken also
And on some occasions I could be talked into a Colorado Bulldog, Tequila Sunrise or a Moscow Mule.
March 23, 2015 at 7:54 pm #1526459I used it this winter and loved it. The bottom is waterproof also.
January 14, 2015 at 6:29 pm #1497414If you can find old golf bag tubes they are very light and cheap.
January 14, 2015 at 6:24 pm #1497410If you don’t have a windshield get a helmet with a shield and breather box. Good pair of leather choppers (hands get cold without the windshield). Small tool kit w/spark plug wrench and spare spark plug for the ice auger. Small cheap set of jumper cables. Never forget toilet paper!
January 8, 2015 at 9:07 pm #1494544One summer Ollie, Sven and Lars were fishing on LOW in an old wooden boat. Ollie stood up while setting the hook on what looked to be a huge fish but the line broke and Ollie fell over the side of the boat and into the water. Sven and Lars looked over the side for about 30 seconds and Ollie never came up. Lars quickly dove in to save him. After 4 attempts Lars finally comes up with him. He and Sven drag him in the boat and Sven tries to give him mouth to mouth for a good 5 minutes. Sven’s now out of breath stops and says wow I don’t remember Ollie having such bad breath! Lars said I don’t remember Ollie was wearing a snowmobile suit!
December 19, 2014 at 5:52 pm #1486250The last weekend out chasing crappies they would not take the smallest tungsten jigs I had while using my ST Croix UL spring bobber rod. I tried some Bro Bug Blood Worm 1/64th (led heads) and lighter was the ticket. Crappies also would only take it on the chase, and watching that spring bobber while rasing was tough so long story sort….I just ordered a 32″ noodle from TUCR, now the tough part is the three week wait. I can’t wait to get it!

December 16, 2014 at 9:36 pm #1484994I just bought this one this last weekend. I like how there is nothing to get in the way of a hook set. Hope to try it this weekend.
Take my money, where did you get that?
December 12, 2014 at 1:43 pm #1483172So the noodle is the choice for perch and pan fish? I want to replace a spring bobber rod.
December 11, 2014 at 9:52 pm #1482942The new brushless 20v was on sale at Runnings for $205 was $275.I just added it to the new Clam Drill Plate and love it!

December 9, 2014 at 11:40 am #1481788Not sure how to rotate the picture, used the lights last weekend while watching spring bobber on a tough crappie bite. Tactic was swimming plastics and making them chase while most of the strikes are only detected pushing the spring up slightly. We would have never seen at prime time of the day.
