The tub definitely could be better. Adding the runners will help. I personally like the seats. The square tubing and release system look solid. The price is pretty nice also. Your right Bass_attack bring on the ice!

For those who wear the muck boots. Are the arctic sport warm enough or would you go for the arctic pros? Just wondering for the warmer days. Not wanting my feet sweating to the point my socks feel wet. Thanks.

Just got mine in the mail today. Definetly not a hoodie as described. Overall a nice alternative to your winter parka.

Ordered one from Gander. For that price couldn’t pass it up. Plus got an extra 10% off.

I’m planning a two night trip at the end of January. I never have fished the lake before. Just wanted a general idea of how the fishing is at that time of year. Would love to catch a little of everything. Never caught a yellow bass before and heard they are tasty. Thanks for all the replies.

Just curious what rod was your favorite before the bullwhip?

The house is new. Kyle I’m waiting on one person now. If he doesn’t take it and you have the cash your second in line.

Finally got a hold of the 1 person at otter that could help me with the canvas issue. Told him I wasn’t satisfied putting shorter poles in the house. He claims there wouldn’t be much difference just to give it a try for now and if the canvas stretches over time I might be able to put the other poles back in. I did not really want to spend more time on this, but he said they have no canvases for two weeks. He also told me the canvas is made to fit each individual house and a new one might not fit right exactly either. Sounds kinda funny to me, but what do I know. He also said that they might go away from the stitched in trim into the canvas since they have had so many issues. Bottom line is pay to get your house assembled so you don’t have to deal with any of this bullshit. Otter has not fixed the issue they have been aware of for some time. At least send the shorter poles with each house and explain you made need to use them if the canvas doesn’t fit at first. Sorry for the rant, but for the price you pay for there houses there shouldn’t be unresolved issues.

I encountered the same tight canvas. So tight I can barely open up all the poles. Contacted otter and the sent me poles for the back and center that are two inches shorter. Not really happy with that solution buying a $1000 dollar house to put shorter poles in. Called today and the only person that could send me (hopefully) a new canvas is at the ice show. One person to handle customer service? Now I still don’t have a house to use this weekend. Know I wish I could have bought one assembled.

Well after checking everything over all is in correct place. After it sat out in the cold I can barely open up the house without expecting some seems to bust loose on the canvas. Talked to otter today and they are sending me a shorter pole for the back and center. I wish they would have sent me a new canvas. Don’t want to lose headroom to stand up. After it stretches for a while they said maybe I could switch back to the other poles. The house at the show set up and down no problem. Can’t imagine this will be the end solution. Has anyone else been sent other poles or a new canvas? Did the poles solve the problem?

10 yrs of use no issues with mine. I really like the adjustable zoom once you get used to it.

Take a look at Dh custom rods. You can get a noodle rod for $60. Just as good as any of the customs that wont break the bank. He gives you the option of not going with the recoil guides that saves you around $30. He uses light weight fly guides that work just fine. I have both guides and don’t see the need for recoils at all.
