Unrelated but this thread is funny to read through. Wonder how many of the “I’ll stick with gas” guys are now “I’d never go back, best money I’ve ever spent”.

Do you want a good vacuum or do you want a cordless one? Choose one.

If you want good, buy an Orek XL Commercial. The first time it gets used, do the whole house and then cut open the bag and look at what your old vac was missing. That’s all you’ll need to know.

Orek are commercial vacs built for daily use. They are also made to be easily repaired and because so many are in commercial use, parts for every model are readily available.

Also, maybe it’s just me, but I hate this cyclonic crap. I don’t want to watch all the dust bunnies and dog hair get swirled a clear plastic disgusting bin. I want it to go in a HEPA bag where I don’t have to look at it getting twaddled around. Yuck.

There are no good cordless household vacs. They are fine for quick cleanups, but they cannot sustain performance over a period of years. Mrs. Grouse bought an expensive Dyson cordless and it would have hit the trash can 10 times had I not fixed it each time for her. Batteries last a year, brushes last a year, and it clogs with fine dust so a sensor shuts it down until it’s cleaned with 200 psi air pressure. Overpriced junk. My parents had the same experience trying to use a Shark cordless.

This is what I was fearing. I don’t want both because we have so little carpet but I think we do. I vacuum everyday in our high traffic areas so a good cordless is ok for that. However, the weekly deep clean I think we need a good vacuum.

Honestly I have had the same shark cordless vac for the last 5 years. Same original batteries (came with 2), same brush heads and all. Replace filters every 6 months and it’s been great. Our house is all LVP outside 2 bedrooms are carpet. One battery will last at least 2 runs around the house. When one dies I swap it out and move on with life.

The area you are referring to is NOT the same as the Bayport area. The stretch south of the Hudson swing bridge is a travel at your own risk situation, most definitely not on a vehicle.

You can walk out at point douglas, but the ice thickness varies greatly here.

Pretty sure you can just turn off wireless network the same you do on UHD and non-UHD units.

It basically doubles in height when raised up.

Just to circle back and maybe answer anyone’s future questions.

Cisco mount from Cisco will allow two screws to be installed but you’d have to tap the other two.

Brewcity only has the four base plate screws necessary to mount the CT 360 base.

I ended up going with the Superior Fishing Product mount as it was pre-tapped for the brewcity and any future item I would want. It’s also cerekoted black instead of silver.

Well this won’t let me share a link. Wondering if I can buy the Cisco Alumatrac mount (google that) or if I need to get the brew city alumatrac mount (google that). They’re both made by cisco – I would rather have more flexibility and purchase directly from cisco.

you can also buy an earth auger for $60 at Menards to put on. might save you some time as they are made for dirt and smaller rock. They also have a longer starter bit so it’s easier to get them going.

Are they the alumacraft plastic brackets or one of the aluminum brackets?

I just usually crank mine up without issues with the trailer backed into the water?

Regardless, nothing will change if they don’t get any feedback. Tell them how you feel.

You need to be signed in to take the survey? No thanks.

I would support opening it up solely to spread some of the early season traffic out from pools that are already open year round creating another viable option (not sure it’d work but wishful thinking)

If it doesn’t open, you’ve waived all rights to be upset or bothered by it.

Many of the large airline cards also provide reimbursement for Clear or Pre-Check.

For domestic travel, southwest is probably your best bang for your buck mileage wise, especially if they have direct flights to areas you frequent (often find flights for 4-7k miles one way). Otherwise the Venture Card (redeem for any travel/hotel), Chase Ultimate, or as others noted, the Delta Amex is probably the best value though they also have the highest yearly fees. Make sure you take advantage of the Clear/Pre-Check/lounge offers.

They had a few of these on some of the manitou pontoons at the boat show. In concept these are great for pontoons as you get an extra 2-3ft of deck space.

Interestingly enough, the guy also mentioned the stunt with the new Alumacraft Competitor with the nasty deck was a PR stunt to get feedback… Sounds like we may see some re-work next year.

Don’t plan on driving out. Wheelers may be tough and a snowmobile is probably the preferred mode of transportation.

Anyone care to share or DM these highwater tactics? We found some eyes in the 8′-14′ range last weekend and were going to give it another go.

I have used garmins splice kit and it worked great and was super easy with just a small screw driver and a cable pliers.

At least with an ATV you have a winch to get yourself unstuck. Never seen a sled with a winch?

What are you going to winch to in the middle of a lake?

Haveyou ever noticed that those who can’t consistently catch fish inevitably blame their lack of success on a lack of fish?

Years ago a state representative tried to blame muskies for eating all of the <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>walleye and crappies in the lakes for the county he represented too.

Didn’t the same representative also claim to shoot geese off his lawn because they were crappin’ all over it?

Thanks for the responses. I don’t think my 175 competitor sport comes even close to 3,000 lbs loaded. We will see what we decide!

Looking to capitalize on ridiculous trade in on the wifes current escape where the dealers offering more than we paid, and dumping off my truck thats rusting while the dealers are still willing to give me over 10k for.

Not set on the explorer, but will likely get an SUV of some sort and I will get a truck once the market figures itself out. Personally I don’t get the hate on the ecoboosts, they’re a hell of a lot more fun to drive than the NA v8s.
