Ouch! Old technology can be tough in todays environment.
I’d suggest some master reboot techniques. Won’t hurt anything…..
Power off Laptop and remove battery for at least 1/2 hour. Power off Router and cable/dsl modem for several minutes.
Power on cable/dsl modem and router.
Reinstall battery for laptop then power on.

In order to help we will need to know a little more about your computer. Since it still works on some wifi sites the card is probably not the problem. What version of Windows are you using (XP, Win 7)?
Do you install windows updates on a regular basis?
What was the date the computer still worked for the function you feel is broken (if you have a valid restore point we can try to get the software restored to that point)? Does the router work with anything else (phone, tablet, desktop)? Let us know.

Be care full doing the format. Windows 7 and Vista can raise havoc with some of the older depth finders. The card probably needs to be formated FAT32. If you have a working card do not format it to clean it up. Move the files to your Computer and you should always save the old update because the new update may break a feature you use.

My neighbor works at a rest stop and he is a contracted employee (NO STATE BENIES).
He talks to many people every day and the consensus is none of the current politicians will see another term in office………
MN DOT closed the rest stops a day early also.

    Nice Walleye.
However I don’t think you can do that type of CPR anymore.
The new Minnesota rule is …
Immediately release or returned to the water

Fish must not be retained longer than is needed at the site of capture to unhook, identify, measure, and photograph. Placing the fish in any type of container or on a stringer is not immediately released. Any fish not immediately released is considered to be “reduced to possession.”

So be prepared with fresh batteries in the Digital Camera and buy yourself a hand held scale so you can get that Photo and measurements done on the water.

Please go to the Lowrance website and follow the self service trouble shooting guide. It will take you through all of the steps to isolate the problem. One of the steps returns error info that will help Lowrance debug the problem. One of the steps took me to a nice picture of the of the connectors with the pins labeled.

A story in PB today says that Haverhill township has approved opening of parking lot for public access to Silver Creek reservoir. The article indicates usage will be from dawn to dusk only.
Also something about no fishing April and November due to Pelicans and Swans.
The city might have a gravel parking lot for 30 cars open later this week.

My friend that lives on Kab only uses gold jigs with minnows and he often goes down to Namakan to find the walleyes.

Sunday Morning I walked down by the Lake and had to hold on to my hat with two hands. I went back and mowed the lawn. Sorry you got swamped but “A mans got to know his limitations”

I raised my 60hp Johnson and you will need a hoist to lift the motor. It did help my torque problem alot.

A fishing buddy likes to use his wet/dry shop vac to suck the water out of live well plumbing.

Has anybody checked into storing waxies in one of those portable 4 bottle wine coolers? (120v or 12vdc, Temperature range: 39°F – 82°F about $80 dollars at most discount stores)
I understand the best temp is some where between 50 and 65 degrees.

    From the rule book
“Minnows and Leeches: Licensed anglers may take minnows or leeches for their own use with dip nets, traps, or seines. However, seines may
not be over 25 feet long or more than 148 meshes deep with 1⁄4-inch bar measure, or more than 197 meshes deep with 3⁄16-inch bar measure.”

So with a depth of 148x.25=37 and 197X3/16=36.9375

A cast net would be too large 7 feet to 18 feet wide.

I have a LMS-332C and have noticed that if my Battery is 12.5v and I select to display voltage with the LMS-332C on the brightest setting the voltage displayed is 12.3v if I hit the power button and drop the intensity one notch the display dims and the voltage is indicated at 12.7v and if I hit it one more time the voltage display goes to 12.8v as the display dims again. My fluke meter hooked to the back of the unit still says 12.5 volts. I didn’t expect the Voltage to match the Fluke but it seems the intensity of the LMS-332C affects the internal workings of the unit enough to affect how the computer/sensors are working. I saw another post on a different website that confirmed Lowrance has an issue with the light intensity setting affecting the internal antenna on the 334c units. Just thought I would share what I was experiencing. (My day time job is Electronics Technician so I know how and where to measure voltages).

Last week I came across a boat trolling the weedline with no lights on. At first I thought I was an idiot for not seeing them but there was no way their lights were on before we found them. So I am going to have a new procedure for running in the dark and it includes having the camera ready to go and take a nice flash shot and turn em in.

The sonar resoulutions are all great for freshwater up to 40 feet. For the gps portion the better the resolution the better. I got the guy at Cabelas to plug the Navioncs Premium chip in the fish elite 502c (320v x 240h) and the Lowrance LMS-332c (480v x 480h). The contour lines all ran together on the Eagle and still had seperation on the Lowrance. If you still want Eagle the Fishelite 640c is 640v x 480h but I can’t figure out if the screen is any bigger (5″ diagonal) and they didn’t have a demo unit. Being able to see the difference is going to cost me more (LMS-332c) but it sure will be worth it.

I’ve been looking at the Eagle FishElite 640c. It has a 5″ diag screen with 640v x 480h pixels. The Lowrance LMS-332C only has 480v x 480h. Doesn’t this mean the Eagle will have better separation between fish and the bottom?

Did you get it working yet? Make sure you remove any memory chips before trying this……… This requires some manual dexterity. Press and hold the menu key and the exit key and then press the power button. On the demo unit I was playing with a software download page appeared. I powered off and when it powered up everything was reset. Most electronics have some magic power on sequence like this. I’d still make sure the charger was off before powering up any of my electronics.

Maybe your getting some electrical noise from the charger. Try turning the charger off.

OK now you have to check the Battery Voltage at the unit.

Was out at dusk tonight fishing the Zumbro in Rochester. My son caught a 19.5″ Smallie on a 4″ dark green Storm Rattlin tube. He thought he had snagged another rock and then he had some fun. We only caught 2 fish but it sure was worth the effort.

Just west of Hwy 52 I saw some people fishing on the cannon river in some fairly fast water. Are they trout fishing?

Was out tonight and just at darkness(well the street lights helped me see a little) Caught 10 smallies mostly 12 to 14 inches with the last fish being 19 (it was kind of skinny maybe 4 lbs). Was using B-Fish-N Tackle Ringworm Oystershell with a black 1/4 ounce jig. Just letting it drift through a small tailwater.

I caught a 13″ Smallie in some skinny water on the Zumbro in Rochester on my first cast with my new B-FISH-N Ringworm. This Smallie was airborne for so long I wasn’t sure I had it hooked. Caught two more 12″ smallies then I couldn’t find any more. Thanks again for the IDA prize.
