178 down the Whiteface Truck Trail. We’ll be on wolf watch as deer are scarce.

We hunt zone 178 down The Whiteface River. I have a better chance of seeing turkeys or wolves than deer.

I work at Federal. We lost the Lake City contact several years ago to Winchester who severely under bid to get the contract and from what we understand are now loosing their ass on it.

The numbers would boggle your mind. I won’t say for obvious reasons and while 410 numbers are high they are a small percentage of total daily production.

I run a .410 loader everyday at Federal so if someone says it’s costly to switch over to a different gauge they don’t know what they are talking about. Several loaders are dedicated .410 and at least 1 of those run 24/7. I can’t say numbers being produced but even those of us that work here have trouble getting 410 and wonder where it is all going.

I’ve been using a 6″ Mora hand anger on a Clam plate with a 18 volt brushed Dewalt for 4 years granted I’m not a hole hopper better than by hand. I’ve also gone through 24″ of ice with it north of Duluth

No way no balls Walz has already said he does not support sport hunting of wolves. I started hunting just south of the Whiteface Resivior in 1977 back then it was rare to see wolf sign or see a wolf
Now it’s rare when you don’t see sign or see wolves.

No manufactures don’t produce more centerfire over shotshell they are usually separate plants within the company. I work for a not to be named ammo company we recently produced 54 million shotshells of all types in a 4 week period. We are working 24/7 and hiring if anyone wants to help out.

I’m just asking for speculation here. Now that the election is over and hopefully things settle down, will general clay shooting ammo become more available? I’m talking run of the mill stuff here, 1 1/8oz. federal top guns, remington gun clubs, winchester super targets, fiocchi, etc. It seems that for the last few months there’s been a shortage, although in general before that whatever fleet farm has on sale in this category is non-existent in their stores. I shoot a good bit of clays and like to have a supply on hand for that purpose only. Not looking for the zombie apocalypse or impending civil war. I’m kicking myself now because I was in rural MN and a store had winchester target loads for $5.20 a box and I bought a case and should have got 4. Is it true that the large ammo mfg’s lean towards rifle/pistol ammo over shells? I read on another site that federal was too busy pumping out centerfire/rimfire ammo to produce many shotgun shells.
