Good stuff!!
I was up also Fri, Sat, Sun morning – Friday, rained half the day – better bite, nice eaters and a couple 25″. Sat – started slow, night bite picked up with a friend catching his PB – 30″ nice fish. Sun morning, only 4, but nice and saw a 32″ get caught from a group from Rainy River Resort launch.
Dan, saw you down there a week and a half ago – I had one of your old boats… Saw you with your dog… no better partner whining about where you are, going too fast or yelling at you for missing that bite, but your biggest cheerleader (a tail wag or two) is the best. Hope to see you out there soon.
Take care, its all good…

We were out as well, got on the water shortly after 9 – for 2 guys, we caught 40 saugers – 12 keepers and one 35″ sturgeon (accidentally) – (meat mostly) great day to be on the water, just hung around the y til 2 when we ran out of minnows… December boat fishing without any freeze ups at all. Great!!
Do you think it will turn to chocolate milk by the weekend? Been there, done that….
Turk
There is a good 15″ to 18″ of ice all around – there are a few drifts around, but you can get around pretty well – the roads out of resorts are great but still keep the speed down. Everything was perfect except the bite. Maybe next time….
Thanks Calvin,
I have left a total of 4 messages via phone and 3 emails – nothing —-
Anyone want to buy a LX-3 that needs work??
Turk
thanks, let me know – they are local for me – how much do they get for one of those crazy things?? Anything if you trade it in??
The Rapala Combo unit where you can use a cig lighter or a wall plug is the best – comes with 2 blades.
Our friends at Rapala have something new this year.
It’s called the Charge ‘n glow. Works great!!
Similar – went out west side Friday – 4 keepers one too big.
Sat -put on over 35 miles – 1 fish all day – some smallies at dusk for eyes.
Sun – 1 eye, 1 perch
No concentration at all….. Maybe full moon???

Give me a call at 651-226-0977.
I would love to join you, otherwise, I am heading up to Mille Lacs and fight the snow.
Thanks,
Greg
I am about 45 minutes away from Everts.
Thanks everybody – I did buy the new air filter – it’s kind of weird – they say to saturate it with clean oil first – can someone explain this??? I will try to clean the carbs tonight.
what time are you looking at – I met up with you a couple of years ago at Mille Lacs – I live in SSP – I could meet you at the ramp.
Give me a call at 651-226-0977
Thanks,
Greg
My son is up at college in Ely right now and will be done May 9th, but starts up in late August – could that work and where would he stay???
Thanks,
Greg
I have a buddy that sells them slightly used with a warranty. He mostly has gateway and dell with a few IBM’s and macs mixed in. Very reasonable. Give Pat a call at Rox Enterprizes – 651-455-6255 – tell him Turk sent you and he will take good care of you. He is in Inver Grove Hts.
I was down yesterday afternoon – we kept 5 nice fat keepers but my buddy didn’t land anything but a couple small cigar saugers. Ring worms worked for all of them. I probably should have stayed later in the day.
The lowrance units are great!! They are sharp, quick and I think fairly easy to use. I will be selling my mono and going to color soon. The H2Oc is really nice – my friend has it, but remember to bring extra batteries – they are a little harder on them.
I’m in – I recommend these sponsors to everyone – my buddy just got his x-25 from Jolly Ann and another one got his H2Oc from him.
Thanks IDA
Be patient and have some trust in God and hopefully the skilled doctors that you can pull through this thing – I want to get you out in my boat sometime this summer for taking me out this spring – we will hit the croix when you start feeling better.
Take care and god bless,
Greg (Turk802)
My Mar had closed their roads yesterday at 1:00 PM – we almost got stuck out there.
Careful at their alternative landing down the road – a couple teeth missing by shore.
Was out of the north side 27-30 ft of water – fishing with a camera to watch the perch bite and clear out when only 1 walleye came through for the weekend. Overall, not bad, but you really had to sift through the small ones and you could tease the little ones going after your bait to wait for the bigger ones.
