It’s been a while, early in the year when the water is up there can be a good walleye bite. Can get pretty crowded though. You can also walk up towards the dam, very rocky and a lot of snags though. I’ve caught about type of fish that swims in the river there though growing up.

Appreciate the post Eric, actually backing the talk up with numbers.

As far as the 80% male and 17-19 inch class, is this documented or just observation?

Also, more out of curiosity. What percentage of the walleye biomass are made up of the 2013 class and the average size of a 11 year old walleye in the lake currently?

I picked up a couple large chatterbaits a few years ago. I believe they are called angry dragons? They look really good, but have only connected on some pike with them, no musky.

I’m in no way an elite NBA mind, but just looked the wolves give up 106 a game. Never would have guessed that would be tops in the league. I’m jumping on the bandwagon, hopefully there is room.

I swear I caught the state record rock bass last year…said every walleye fisherman who was hoping it was a walleye with an empty livewell.

Hopefully they will be replacing with brand new trailer. Dealing with State Farm has been a nightmare. I feel like I’m getting the run around and my claim just keeps getting pushed onto other people plates and no one can give me any answers.

Yea, crazy how the boat didn’t receive any damage.

I was able to see the trailer estimate. Basically what it said was to much damage to frame of trailer to do anything. Estimate was salvaging parts and affixing to new frame. Which as stated before, would cost more than a brand new trailer.

The 10k was actually just the trailer estimate. I didn’t see the detailed estimate yet, but at a minimum it was 2 new axles, 2 new wheel wells, coupler, electrical, and leaf springs. I was pretty shocked at the estimate, but I guess if you think the of the labor hours and amount of parts it adds up quick. Haha

Both jig/fathead and jig/plastics caught fish. Didn’t seem to have a preference for one over the other.

Tagged along with a buddy on upper pool 3 this afternoon. Lots of shorts, half dozen keepers and a mid 20. Not a bad day.

Crazy amount of people on the ice on the small lake near the hastings public launch.

Somehow no damage to the boat. Trailer ended up coming unhooked and caused damage to my truck though.

I will have to give them call, thanks!

As you said, hopefully I won’t have to worry about it and insurance will cover full replacement cost. I have a call with the claim handler next week and I’ll find out more.

I was just researching and it sounds like if they only need to pay fair market value rather than replacement value I might be stuck with some of the bill.
