Yes I do realize they have a rod chart. However, the chart shows 3 possibly 4 rods that will do what I’m asking. My question is more to figure out what will do it the best. A chart can’t replace real life experience.

Although the Base Price might be high, I feel this is a step in the right direction for ice anglers. Marcum is the only company out there trying to bring new technology to the sport. I have units that are for GPS, Sonar, and camera and its nice to see all three packed into one unit. I most likely will not rush right out to buy one but the option is finally there which also cuts down on the amount of gear to carry out on the ice.

You cannot buy just the camera. The software is different between the 2 units. You can send the lx7 in to be upgraded to an lx9 at any time though.

it is the same thing as the fortrex with built in i-pilot

I use the LX-7 and have no problem hole hopping with it. After looking at the size of the screen and the ability to upgrade to a 9 the additional $100 to go from the 6 to the 7 is money well spent.
